Raid Bounties

I love it!

Bad idea

I was thinking what I would like to see are bounties for raids and make them worth 10,000-15,000 points for completion. Examples: Kill a Gorgon - 10,000 Stop the Templar from teleporting - 15,000 Defeat Crota in 1 sword - 15,000 Defat Crota in 2 swords or less - 10,000 Pass through the Abyss without activating any lamps - 10,000 ...and so on. I believe that it would add a new dynamic to the game, as these would all have to be teamwork bounties instead of just personal bounties. Thoughts? Let's hear reasons for yay or nay in the comments below. Cheers, and happy hunting! CrashKoeck - Honorable Helpers

Looking at the comments, those are very valid points, but many of these bounties could be for things that you have to do anyways, you just have to do them better. Besides, there are many people that get all raids wrapped before Xur even shows up in the tower. It would be cool to be able to get more reward when helping your friends out in the raid. I know that, for example, killing a gorgon isn't super hard to do, but takes a bit of coordination and you also have to spend the time to get to that part. And who doesn't try to kill Crota in as few swords as possible anyways? I think you guys are right - don't have things that really distract from the raid. These bounties would have to focus instead on rewards for performing exceptionally well in the raid. Cheers, and happy hunting!

  • Yeah, I'll have to add mine to the no pile as well. Distractions are a big thing, as well as leaving out some players who may not be able to complete raids for various reasons.

  • I would have to say no as well. The raids can get dicey enough without peeps trying to get bounties completed.

  • I vote no. It would be annoying to have my whole team distracted with finishing their bounties rather than beating the raid. Not giving weapon and armor exp. is also a good thing for this reason.
