My complaint has nothing to do with weaponry, but rather moral standards of those who enter Rumble matches together & work together to offset what should be a legit Deathmatch. Too many times I've seen people join a Rumble match together & work together rather than fighting against each other as the rules of the match should be, giving an unfair advantage against the rest of the people actually playing legit. My suggestion in this matter is to restrict joining a Rumble matches if in a team already; meaning if they are in a team with somebody else, the game will not allow them to join a Rumble match. The only time I could say an exception should be made would be if a full team of 6 is formed, meaning a private Rumble match between those members & other people can't join mid-game if somebody leaves.
EDIT: I knew there would be some people wanting to keep the old system; more than likely people that are manipulating the system in the way I've stated... Looks like 98 votes already for people who enjoy exploiting the system; this should be an indication to Bungie that something needs to be done about it.
EDIT: Came up with a possible workaround to the point that the naysayers are crying about & that would be to make it so people who join Rumble matches while in a Fireteam instead have a private match without matchmaking. Ideally this same mechanic could also be used in modes other than Crucible matches (Strikes, RAIDs, etc.). At this point I am changing my vote to the third option to indicate this suggestion; I'll recreate the thread with the additional option if I have to. I have added a link directly to the comment that gave me the idea for this.

1 ReplySo if your fire team of three just wants to have fun duking it out against each other in PvP we shouldn't be able to??? My friend and I go into rumble all the time and get laughs out of it BC its fun. Sure there are boosters for the Thorn Bounty but that is no reason to make it so fire teams that just want to kick each others but having fun not being able to do that.
