[FIX DEPLOYED] Are you not able to see your Xbox characters on the site or app? Tell me about it here.

>>>> IF YOU ARE STILL ENCOUNTERING ISSUES WITH YOUR GAMERTAG NOT BEING DETECTED BY OUR SITE, POST HERE<<< RESOLUTION: Thank you to everyone who reported their issues. We've been doing a lot of data gathering surrounding this issue, and your input has been incredibly valuable. So valuable, in fact, that we have found a cause for the problem and are preparing to deploy a fix so your gamertag information shows up on your Bungie.net profile. Many of you will find that your Xbox Live gamertags are now appearing on your profiles, and you can access your Destiny account information; you've likely been a part of our science experiments if that's the case. If you still can't see your gamertag and Destiny info by the end of the week, the most likely cause is that you are not on the correct Microsoft account that has your Xbox Live information. If your gamertag info is still not showing, you can troubleshoot the status of your Microsoft and Xbox Live info here. You will hopefully find that you indeed used a different Microsoft Account. If that is the case, create a new Bungie.net profile with the correct account. If it is not the case, we have seen issues where something in Microsoft's system is not properly reporting your gamertag to Bungie. In this case, Microsoft support has been able to work with customers to resolve this issue. This thread's purpose is for me to gather information in order to diagnose what is wrong. This thread is not about whether your character shows up as just a silhouette. That is a WebGL problem on your browser or a hardware issue with your mobile device. Feel free to make a new thread about it under #Help and #mobileissues. Be sure to include your device platform, OS, OS version, and app version (you can find it under the about tab). Because there's many of you and one of me, I won't be able to reply much. Please don't be mad. Reminder: As some people have learned the hard way, posting offtopic or inflammatory posts will result in your ungraceful exit from the thread.

Alright, I just created a Bungie account, and I'm going to answer all questions as they were numbered. Thanks for the help, Bungie. :) 1. No (because I just created an account for vault purposes). 2. Yes (as mentioned above, this is a new account). 3. Yes, I actually have. I didn't seem to find anything that was helpful for this situation, but seemed helpful for others! :D 4. Yes, I am using the right account. The account I used to sign up here is the same one that is used for log in to my Xbox live account 5. I'm on an Xbox 360. Gamertag is: SuroySuroy Thanks again, all help is appreciated. I hope you find a fix. :)

      • Let me answer each one below: 1. Was this ever working before? (If not, see 2) No -- Just got the Companion App today. But been using Destiny for about a week or two (XBox). 2. Is this your first time signing up on our site with this particular Microsoft account? Yes, just signed into Bungie using Microsoft account today. 3. Have you gone through this help article? No, really. Read it. Don't just glance at it and say it doesn't work. Yes. 4. Have you verified that you're on the correct Microsoft account that is used to manage your Xbox Live account? Yes. If I go to the XBox website, I can log in using this account and I can see my Destiny achievements and such. I can also verify that the Gamertag on the Xbox site matches the one I see when I actually play Destiny. It also matches the one I see when I log into the Bungie website or use the Iphone Companion app. 5. Is your gamertag being used on Xbox 360 or Xbox One? (This is a question I just added. Don't feel bad if you didn't answer it earlier) Xbox 360 If all of these options don't work, sound off here. If I log into the Bungie website, it doesn't show me any of my Destiny stats. Rather, it offers me the opportunity to download Destiny or the Companion. (It does display my gamertag, however.) Similarly, the Companion iPhone app tells me I've never played Destiny and doesn't see my character. Any help?

        • I signed up today and linked my xbox account. It just keeps telling me to buy the game like I don't own it. I don't know if this is a link issue or what, but it's annoying.

I'm desperate to know how to link my XBL gamertag with my bungie.net account to use the Destiny Companion App. PLEASE HELP!

          • This is my first time ever signing onto Bungie. I followed the directions, but it said that I had to create a user because it couldn't find my gamer tag. How do I link my Bungie account with my Xbox Account?

          • This is the first time I signed in to Bungie.net since I played Halo:Reach, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I also have a gmail account for my Windows Live account which may be causing the issue as well. With that being said, my xbox live account is linked to my bungie.net profile however I cannot access my character, stats, grimoire cards, etc. I am also having this issue with the companion app as well. I am playing on the Xbox One. I have gone through all the steps above and have had no success.

          • I signed up for an account today with my email, linked my MS account and it lists as linked but doesn't allow me to redeem codes or use the app to see my characters. I linked my Sony account and it shows up in the code redemption area, though I don't actually play Destiny on Sony consoles.

            • Having the same problem as everyone here. A person from bungie acknowledged there was a problem with linking people. Was really excited when I heard about this too. Oh well, in the same situation as yesterday.

            • I just signed up for a bungie account with my Microsoft account. I am 100% sure that it is the email address that is linked to my gamertag as I can sign into xbox.com and see my gamertag and I also made the gamertag fairly recently. Regardless, every single time I try to sign up it says there is no gamertag linked to my account. I also just chatted with Microsoft support and they couldn't find any problems with my account and confirmed that my gamertag is indeed attached to that email. Please help!

              • 1. No 2. Yes. I have tried several times in several different ways with this account. 3. Yes I have read the article. 4. Yes it is the correct profile. 5. Gamertag is on Xbox 360. I am getting a message say that Bungie cannot find a gamertag associated with my Microsoft account. There is most definitely a gamertag associated with my account and has been for years.

I'm having this issue currently, I've tried unlinking my Microsoft account and creating a new bungie account as well as just re-linking my Microsoft account but it does not work. This is the correct Microsoft account and anytime I go to link or create the bungie account it tells me that no gamertag was found with my Microsoft account even though I used to have a bungie account set up and connected to my Microsoft account to see my halo 3 profile/statistics. I did also go through the article (which isn't quite as helpful as an article dedicating to troubleshooting would be but still helped me figure out how to unlink my account to try that) My xbox live gammertag is Brannyn and is used on both the 360 and xbox one but I play destiny on the xbox one

                • I've had my account linked for a couple months and it worked just fine. (Xbox 360). Since the app update it can't seem to connect and show me my friends list. I can still use the vault features but can't use the friends list. Also my nephew created and linked and account and it's almost like it can't reach Xbox live to get the initial info and thus won't show his characters. Seems like a lot of Xbox 360 users are having this issue.
