For the past few weeks I have been getting cattle errors every time I try to log on. Sometimes they resolve themselves after a few tries, but I can never play Destiny the first time I start my Xbox. I have gone through all the troubleshooting steps I can, but I am on college campus internet and cannot change all internet settings. When I am able to get on, I am usually forced to do an update, the same one every time. This seems to be some error specific to Destiny, as all other games and functions on Xbox live work. I have been hard-rebooting my Xbox for the past two hours trying to play Destiny, keep getting cattle errors, and am pretty fed up with this. Are there any solutions to this? Is this issue being fixed on the Bungie side of things?
Thanks

1 ReplyAt the login screen (where it says press A to play) hold LB+RB+down on the d-pad. This will clear your cache. It'll make you download the three most recent updates. Once you do you should be good to go.

I've been having this since October. I can usually get past cattle on 3rd or 4th attempt. It's a case of perseverance. The LB+RB+Down seems to increase the likelihood of no cattle but it's not fail safe, latterly I've been having to re download the update every time, and then averaging about 10mins of playtime before being booted back to the start screen with either wasp/caterpillar or (once or twice) marionberry. I don't think there is a magic fix.
