The Destiny Community spans the globe. Every day, Guardians visit the Tower from every corner of the planet they’ve sworn to protect. It makes sense that the game should speak to them in many different languages.
In the game development industry, we call this “Localization.” Right here in our studio, there are members of our team who take the stories we tell and translate them into a handful of languages. If you’re reading these words in anything other than English, they had a hand in that as well. Each of them is a Guardian themselves, and they've been speaking to you this whole time.
We thought you might like to know who is behind the effort to help us create games that speak to Guardians around the world. Once you’ve read their words, click on the language you share with them to join a new Private Group here on Bungie.net. There, you can gather with other Guardians who share the same word for “Legend.” It’s all part of a growing commitment to serve an ever-expanding global community.

Ce que je préfère dans l'assistance à la communauté francophone, c'est de pouvoir aider les Gardiens et Gardiennes parlant le français à apprécier cet incroyable jeu, de leur fournir le meilleur service dans leur langue natale et d'avoir la possibilité de regrouper et développer cette communauté.

J'ai deux grandes passions depuis que je suis petit : les histoires et les jeux-vidéo. Du coup, c'est génial de pouvoir transmettre les différentes histoires de Destiny : les mythes élaborés du Grimoire, les noms d'exotiques, les échanges entre Cayde et Eris... Et plein d'autres genres différents. Et comme la jouabilité, les graphismes, et la musique du jeu sont excellents, je suis ravi d'avoir l'opportunité de rendre l'expérience de Destiny plus immersive pour les joueurs qui parlent français. Ciao a tutti. Sono un videogiocatore dall'era del buon vecchio Game Gear e il destino mi ha portato qui in casa Bungie. Nel tempo libero sono uno stregone in erba che tenta di dare il suo meglio nel Crogiolo senza morire troppe volte.
Lavorare sulle traduzioni di Destiny ci fa sentire parte della community italiana, soprattutto perché sappiamo che le barriere linguistiche impediscono di poter vivere esperienze uniche come quelle che Destiny regala. Speriamo che utilizziate questo spazio per stringere nuove amicizie, per partecipare a discussioni costruttive e segnalare eventuali problemi di traduzione, sempre nel massimo rispetto.

Eu cresci em uma época na qual, com a exceção de alguns jogos para PC, poucos jogos eram traduzidos para o português. É bem gratificante poder oferecer aos jogadores falantes da língua portuguesa a oportunidade de apreciarem Destiny em sua totalidade, de seguirem as notícias e atualizações do jogo, e de obterem suporte em sua língua nativa. Uma das coisas que eu mais gosto de fazer é traduzir os gestos do jogo. Eles providenciam uma oportunidade rara de adicionar algumas referências à cultura brasileira, já que muitas das referências originais em inglês poderiam ser perdidas caso traduzidas literalmente.

Was ich am meisten daran mag, mit der deutschen Community zusammenzuarbeiten, ist, dass ich oft die Gelegenheit habe, die Menschen hinter den Gamertags kennenzulernen und in einen Dialog mit ihnen zu treten. Dadurch können wir uns gemeinsam in der deutschen Community des Spiels, das wir so gerne mögen, unterstützen, auf persönlicher als auch virtueller Basis. ¡Hola a todos! Como amante de todas las buenas historias, creo que los videojuegos son un formato narrativo muy potente. Destiny tiene una historia que te atrapa y te transporta a otros mundos y otros tiempos llenos de emoción y peligro. Diálogos, cartas del grimorio, descripciones de armas, frases oscuras de Ikora o comentarios insolentes de Cayde, incluso los artículos del blog... Cada palabra es una pieza del rompecabezas de esta aventura. ¡Estoy impaciente por ver a dónde nos lleva! Es muy gratificante ayudar a hacer que todas estas experiencias sean accesibles para jugadores de todos los países de habla hispana que, de otro modo, no podrían disfrutar de Destiny debido a la barrera del idioma. ¡Gracias por jugar!
