Big ones spec was the one PVE adept mod that made getting an Adept NF weapon something to work for. Now that the mod will be removed, what is truly the point of doing a GM other than the title? Adept range? Many other Adept mod hurt your other stats so what is actually beneficial about having an Adept weapon? Raid adept weapons perks can be enhancable so that's something to grind for. Now are we going to be able to retroactively enhance the perks on NF adepts we acquired through all years of the GM sweating?
It seems like all that time investment was wasted when now the adept versions will have the same damage output as the normal versions. So again I ask what is the point of GMNF adepts? Why did we waste all that time getting them? How do I walk away from this change without feeling like I wasted so much time and effort?

90% of perks are useless. Only auto loading, bait and switch, and vorpal matter

Editado por MrMac: 5/16/2024 6:31:54 PMI use Adept Big Ones mostly wtih my heavy weapons, i.e. Unwavering Duty Heavy Machine Gun (Trials) and to me, it's not a big deal. Maybe. I don't know how this will affect me in the near future. Although, I have other heavy weapons that use more, like the Seventh Seraph Saw with auto loading and vorpal. Right now, I think most Adept weapons are being used for PvP to be able to take advantage of better perks like range, handling, stability, etc. If you ask me, every other adept perk is geared for PvP and the only PvE perk is Adept Big Ones. And they're taking it away? Might as well not offer adept weapons for PvE high level activities then. It's not worth it. Just offer adept weapons as rewards in PvP modes. I say create a set of PvE adept perks.

Imo back up mag on adept weapons isn't the play ( a lot will use this ) I'll go adept reload mod, pull reload off my arms, offering the same reload speed and go with more ability generation.
-
Yes, playing Destiny is a waste of time. Remember the famous “destiny is a collector’s game.” Not it’s not, D1 was, D2 isn’t. It’s a rotating meta game as a means to compensate for the lack of actual playable content. There is no build up, neither in terms of story, nor in terms of gameplay. Whether tower or raid boss, it’s the same, jump jump slide hold button.

IMO - Enhanced perks should have been exclusive to adept weapons. Adepts should have a minor advantage over the non-adepts, seasonal and world drops and allow it to excel (when compared to its non-adept) in end game content especially because of the difficulty behind obtaining such weapons (of course the difficulty depends on how good the individual is too). Non-adepts will gain the advantage in having access to what i would call as the better perks such as reconstruction and bait and switch. The difference between a non adept and adept raid weapon should be the ability for adepts to be enhanced, and to provide player to change their weapon barrel, mag and masterwork to reduce the RNG needed to grind for said weapons enhancing should provide minor bonuses to perks like we sort of have now (+1 second to things like rampage, kc, bns etc etc). The +3 to other stats doesn't help with pve i reckon. Ig that's more of a pvp thing. The aim of world drops and in particular weapon crafting should be to give players access to weapons which will assist in preparing players for things like raids, legend/master nightfalls etc. I feel like this should provide incentives for everyone to try end game content and give that want of obtaining the best weapons in the game. A similar system could be applied for the pvp side too. Kinda like how they introduced artifice for comp (albeit the stat rolls aren't amazing lmao).

Because as bungie already said. Every new adept weapon will be enhancable.
-
The fact you don’t even know there are other adept mods proves you don’t know what you are talking about. If you are going o blindly hate on the game at least do your research beforehand so you don’t sound like a fool.
-
One thing about bungie they're gonna remind us that our time and effort don't matter lol.

Editado por Facelauss: 5/17/2024 1:25:30 AMIn pve? Adept Handling, reload or mayyyyybe back up mag It actually makes difference between adept and non-adept bigger since adept mods will be viable in pve now
-
big ones should have stayed
-
The only thing I can think of is that Adept weapons when MW should get +10 to every possible MW stat instead of +3 to other stats.
-
They're literally just giving you the mod as a buff and letting you use another mod. How is this a problem?!
-
Exactly this, Big Ones was such a great perk, Adepts were worth using just for this trait alone Idk man, we ain't devs at the end of the day
-
Mostly the better stats I guess
-
paper weights?
-
Intimidation
-
And rolling the weapon specs into weapons themselves....smh... Just to make us keep grinding harder. And staying on the game longer. This is the most tone deaf company I have ever seen.
-
The same as enhancing perks and Artifice armor. The weapon is just a little better than the regular version for the super hardcore players that want to min/max everything.
-
Adept reload or back up mag I guess?
-
Adept big ones didn’t matter that much anyways tbh. The vast majority of the time, 7% damage against one or the other doesn’t matter. Doing a raid? Who cares if your adept Cataclysm has 7% against Majors? Doing a GM? Who cares if your adept Warden’s Law deals 7% extra against bosses? Adept weapons have always been about the flex outside of 1 or 2 niche cases like Astynax (and none of those are around Big Ones)
-
TBF Adepts were always nothing special aside from bragging rights, and they are basically our entire “Endgame” , that and artifice. And it shows how much of a joke this game is
-
You still get the general stat buffs and can use something like adept reload which you can't normally get. Does kind of feel like adepts are being phased out for something else though.
-
Gm's are pointless since weapons are absolutely mediocre from them. Last time we had a good reward it was season 15 Hothead. We had some pvp weapons after, but fragile focus was bad at that time and both mindbender and dfa had them, it's now one of the best pvp perks and you can't get them in adept versions, they removed them from lootpool before they buffed this perk
-
Feels like sunsetting again... shame..
-
I just like using the Adept mods that boost stats. I've never been able to use a Rapid-Fire Frame auto rifle with over 70 range before until just recently with Rufus's Fury (Adept) and it feels so smooth.
-
Just use adept range or blast radius (etc.)
