Malfeasance Quest Step 2 Bug

Killing Taken bosses and mini bosses in the Dreaming City won’t count towards progress for Darkness in the Light step 2 defeat 25 bosses or mini bosses. Tried all over the dreaming city. Including enemy moving against each other, lost sectors, and Blind Well. Help?!

Can you abandon the quest and try again? I did it this morning before the new patch and it worked
