When I was out there just mobbin' on my titan, I found that when you use the Ember of Empyrean where restoration is extended by solar weapon kills, picking up a Firesprite to proc Ember of Mercy overwrites the restoration timer. For example, I got the restoration timer up to 0:07, then upon picking up a Firesprite, it immediately dropped to 0:03. I'm sure this is an oversight, but it would make sense that picking up the Firesprite does nothing to the timer if it is above 3 seconds, but resets it to 3 seconds if it is below that. I guess my question is, "Is this intentional?" If not, I hope this gets to the right people who can get it fixed. If any Bungie devs see this, thank you for making an awesome game!
