Well first off, let me be completely honest about this map. When I made this map I was fooling around in forge on foundry. I wasn't really trying to create anything special in the first place.

After watching the movie Kingdom of Heaven I decided to try to make a classic attackers vs. defenders map where the defenders had a little bit of an advantage on the attackers, (hence the giant wall).

I'm thinking the map is a should be used as a 1 Flag CTF map kind of thing but who knows what it would ever be used for.

Seeing how the only reason that map is on their is because one of the groups I'm in is the Halo 3 Academy, making maps is not really my speciality, sniping is. And since H3A only been on BF's for a few hours I've already recieved 4 or 5 hateful messages via XBL saying how cr@py and my map is.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion even here on B.net so it you don't like the map fine. Fortunately next week I believe you will enjoy the other half of my content on BF's.

i just checked out your map and its alright its deserves a little better rateing than what its got..but the only thing that bothers me not any offense to you but if this kind of stuff makes BF's then why can't expert forgers like me make it..becasue the stuff i got bloes this out of the water and everything else on bungie fav..but still your map is cool...good job 4/5

I could have made a better map in less time. Put a box on foundry canvas. How does this make the favorites when there are people like me who put lots of time into making good maps. That's what frusterates me.

No , 4 months ago Bungie decided to do a spotlight on 30 randomly chosen groups. This spotlight included 40 slots on BF's, 10 Screenshots, 10 Film Clips, 10 Maps & 10 Gametypes. So our group the Halo 3 Academy viewed, rated & commented on all our maps, screenshots and such then we decided on our favorites then we threw them all in the submission form along with a write up about the group itself.

Then two months later bang the Halo 3 Academy is on BF's.

Maps, Bad. Pics, Bad. I dident see all the clips but i saw the extemitation one and that was bad. Gametypes, well these nothing to say about those. So this realy doesnt give H3A a good name the next bungie faves better be, better

Funny you should say that. Check out Bungie Favs again and look to the right. You will see the most played game variants and maps. Two of our gametypes are there. And the top 4 most played maps are all from our favorites selection. And third among them is Fortress World.

I think that speaks far more loudly than the few people who decide to complain.

the only reason its showing that the maps are most played is becasue their is a LOT of little kids that dont know any better..but the AVP map on ghost town is good ...the other maps on BF's is not very good, and im not trying to be a hater i just know what im talking about becasue im a expert at forge...congradulation on making bungie favorites though..

Well, Fortress World just moved from the third most played map to the second most played map. Which means it is gaining popularity.

And who are you to say that someone doesn't know any better? I would rather trust the fact that people are playing this map enough to make it the second most played map in Halo 3 then the relatively small number of bnet users(compared to the number of Halo 3 players as a whole).

EDIT: Correction. Fortress World just took the number one spot. It knocked my AvP map to number two.

well oviously there going to be most played, how else are people going to know what it looks like. Your stupid

It really doesnt speak louder than the people complaining because in order to complain they need to download the map and PLAY IT first.

I am glad you know how to flame, that shows how well thought out your post really are.

Actually, our Favorites went live yesterday, and today for the last 6 hours they have been the most played maps. And Fortress World climbed from the third to the first, which means more people are starting to play it and continue to play it.

And I always look at Bungie Favorites, and they don't always take over the most played maps/game variants.
