Things like mothkeepers wraps or precious scars fit SO MUCH BETTER with the intended "support" role that warlocks supposedly have, and the vast majority of warlock exotics are incredibly bland. Including the one just revealed.
"Final blows from weapons with a damage type matching your subclass energy create a burst of healing around you that grants allies restoration. After reviving or being revived, you gain an aura that provides overshields to you and nearby allies."
That right there is a support warlock's WET DREAM. No one wants warlocks for a reason that isn’t Well of Radiance.
"Your grenade becomes a cage of loyal moths that release on impact and fly toward the nearest target or ally. If they reach a target, they detonate in a blinding explosion; if they reach an ally, the moths grant your ally a Void overshield."
COME ON. Warlocks are the class that LITERALLY EAT GRENADES
Why would I ever use that thing when weaver's trance and spreadable poison exist...
Edit: I DID NOT SAY BAD EXOTICS I SAID BLAND EXOTICS

I’m tired of people pigeonholing warlocks into a “support” role. 1. Warlocks in lore are the most attuned to the light. 2. Just because titans are known to run into a fight blind punching doesn’t mean warlocks can’t run onto a Battlefield and F stuff up themselves. They are extremely powerful. I’m a titan main that’s used warlock a lot the last year and we have to stop pushing warlocks into a corner just to “support” the field. It’s a stigma that’s grossly holding down a lot of players that don’t want to play a support role but love warlock kits. Well of Radiance is a cancer on warlock. Whether people like to admit it or not it’s one of the biggest reasons people hate the subclass cause they are forced into the role. I personally hope it’s nerfed hard for final shape. Because warlock has so many great builds but LFGs and fireteams hold their warlocks back just so they don’t die. Um hey maybe you should figure out why you’re dying instead of forcing a teammate to keep you alive. Stop pushing the entire warlock class into a role it wasn’t designed to be in.
