Zero hour is an exaggeration

If you're going to make something "hard", I want it to be hard as in I actually have to strategize. Hard as in puzzles and stuff. Having to sit back slowly chipping away at every enemy's health is not only very time consuming for a [i]mission with a time limit[/i], it's also very boring and frustrating. I'm keeping my monument Outbreak. It ain't worth my time

    From a weapon standpoint, being able to put different options on Outbreak now is a god send as Rapid Hit is just the only good trait for general use. The other traits are fine and quite usable. Now to the mission... I STRONGLY agree that the mission feels too difficult at the moment. Going from Normal, to Legend, then back to Normal doesn't feel any different and I genuinely think Bungie forgot to change something in the code to make them separate. Sniper Vandals WILL one shot even at 100 resil and a single Arc damage resist on Legend, but will require a second shot on Normal which is just absurd. Not to mention that the Brig will one shot even a Banner of War Strand Titan with Woven Mail even at 100 resil. Talk about plain out dumb.

    • Where else in the game do you actually have to strategize beyond build crafting? Bungie has used bullet sponges and damage output to increase difficulty for years. If Zero Hour is already enough for you, you dont play GMs and Master Raids either, do you? The time limit is one if the few things Bungie came up with that for once made stuff difficult in another way. While I would agree that bullet sponges shouldnt be the hindrance of completing the mission in time, I dont think they are, since the majority of the mission just like in Whisper is jump in run. Add clear encounters are a little annoying, but far from being a big hindrance. The time limits are very generous and just add a little bit of tension, given you have taken the effort to learn the way and dont search around blindly. They simply prevent players who lack the (little needed) skill and speed from completing the mission, instead of just making it take longer. It is hilarious that so many people start complaining when stuff becomes even remotely challenging. Not everything should be easily achievable. Trying to make everything accessible has made the game so much worse. Activities are boring, SBMM kills any long-term motivation for PvP. What was an achievement earlier isnt anything special now.

      • Careful dude. We can't criticize this crap mission for some reason. A bunch of overturned enemies in between long boring jump puzzles that only exist for YouTubers to make videos about it. The people behind these missions truly deserve the success this game has. Or hasn't.

        • Normal is 100% overtuned. I did it first try but I recognize when the easier difficulty is overtuned for others. Really not sure what they were thinking. The arc from enemies hits just as hard if not harder than grandmaster nightfalls.

            • The mission is three times as long as whisper and a lot more difficult in terms of jumping etc. The timer does not at all reflect that. Like who has the time to practise this nonsense to a point where they have a perfect run as a team of three? If you F up somewhere, you might as well just restart it. It’s not worth it. Ohhh yeah, Rapid Hit. Whatever … if the weapon is going to be as strong as people say, it’ll be nerfed as soon as TFS drops.

                  Zero Hour Legend is whay i never going to buy Final Shape, as ZH is impossible to do with that complex jumps!!!! After almost 2000 hour in game i see -blam!- the game going to be, so is the end game for me

                    I haven’t completed it yet but am getting closer. Yes, it’s frustrating to run out of time, but from memory it was twenty minutes all difficulty levels originally so forty minutes is not unreasonable. I’m enjoying it generally, I think, and I’m a bang average, no end game solo P v E player in my fifties as opposed to anything even vaguely hardcore I think where it’s caught people out is in two areas. Firstly, in normal and hero level content for some time now, you are not used to getting just absolutely slapped by ads when you’ve got 100 resilience, plus sniper and arc damage mods on and it takes some getting used to (particularly flinch). This might be a bug as other posters have noted, or it might be as intended. I remember the original version of this mission (that I never really got much further than Trevor on) being pretty difficult so this might just be a straight sort of “old school” difficulty transfer. The other area and the only real issue I have with it so far is that ammo economy in the boss room seems to be tweaked down and I’m just not seeing the heavy brick drops I see earlier in the mission. I was probably one purple brick away from taking the boss out on my last play through. Again, this might be as intended. Whether it’s actually worth completing or not given that Outbreak has been out in the wild for a long time now is a different question altogether, obviously. EDIT : Just completed it on normal the first time. Surprisingly straightforward after watching some boss room tutorials. Polaris Lance for first boss and servitors. Switch to Dragon’s Breath for tanks and drop any remaining DB into the Brig. Dawn Chorus Daybreak and Mountaintop to break Brig’s shield and open up crit spot. Back to Polaris Lance for easy-ish boss kill and remaining ads. Got to boss room with about 20 minutes, finished with about 7. No drama. Legend mode can absolutely foxtrot oscar, though…

It ain't worth my time[/quote] I did it twice to learn the puzzles (I’ve never done it before) and I got the boss first try at the end on normal solo with 5 mins to spare. Is Master really this hard or is it just typical whining?

I suggest strategizing with new builds.

                      This difficulty is so stupid, impossible to find any group to filnalize the run...i launch and i launch...it's really boring, after final shape good bye Bungie and your games, one time it's too easy, one time it's impossible. So much problem on all the life of this game. Pfff

                      Remove or greatly increase the time limits. Why have this content gated with time limits? I completed normal solo but due to the freaking jumps puzzles and the frequent random bounces that push you off a ledge on legend as well as being dropped off a ledge if a team mate revives you it’s just typical bungie troll.

                    • They did that for vow of the disciple - the complaint then became that apparently difficult mechanics are “artificial difficulty”, which people also use to describe just about everything they consider too hard for them.

                          • Theyll actually have to work and spend money paying employees to revamp a mission the right way. The easy and cheap way is to make enemies bullet sponges.

                          • Then how do you make the final fight in zero hour hard. If ennemies dont have the right to do a lot of damage and have more hp ? Because if you dont do that you will just be able to melt through ennemies like in a lost sector. And no puzzle/mechaniv will ever be hard in destiny 2 (Besides community ones but thats another story)
