Pantheon is not for me Good luck everyone.

I tried a couple of times, it's not for me, I hated the kings fall raid in D1 and still do, the other encounters I have no experience what's so ever I was curious it's not for me, so good luck to everyone I'm out. Edit I'm willing to learn.

  • I’m just not sure who the activity is for. It does nothing for people who don’t regularly raid in terms of helping them get into it. On the other hand the hardcore raiders that it’s for already have all the loot anyway. So I’m not real sure what the goal is here.

    • Not sure who they made this for. All the good people who know what they’re doing have already have all the weapons. And the new player and non raiders don’t know what to do and most of them can’t do it well enough to get the best rewards. I don’t know what they were thinking bungie.

      • I think the time trial made it less accessible for new/low skill players. With the modifiers it's easier than a normal raid, but the need to 2 phase golgy, 2 floor caretaker and 2 phase explictor have made the lfg community gatekeep.

      • And yes mate, we see here yet another elitist platform for brain dead, sweaty gaming chair morons covered in last week's burger crumbs, to spout out the usual bile of ''im better than you so keep out" bilge ....honestly Bungie are just fkn clueless in how to respect and engage a wider audience. With Pantheon they had the opportunity but did they take it? Did they fk.

        • My friends and I are doing it for the title and emblems because they’re sick af. If the first difficulty is already weeding people out, then good. Need less chaff clogging up the LFGs.

            • Yeah, Pantheon isn't for everyone. It's -5 Light locked with additional challenges coming each new week in order to earn a new title and emblems. This is pretty obviously meant for the clans and raiders to take on a new challenge. A 2nd Overflowing Light in Golgoroth, harder and more plentiful enemies, new Tormentor spawns, etc. Pantheon is only going to get harder from here.

              • Pantheon is absolutely designed for raid enthusiasts who know how to do these encounters. That isn’t meant to sound gatekeepy, that’s just ostensibly the intended audience who will have actual fun with it.

I thought Pantheon was gonna be some sort of solo, Small team or raid groups can go into an activity fight a bunch of ads, do minor mechanics, and then fight a raid boss. But we just got a rotation or raid encounters, which you might as well just run the raid lol. The problem I faced was just the toxic players I came across. Or the posts that were asking for an emblem within 5hrs of it launching, lol. I'll just run the raid, I guess. Even though there's toxic players there. At least I can still come across a chilled group. I haven't found 1 for Pantheon yet. Maybe just the hrs I log in Anyways, like I said, I just thought it would be a separate new activity, like a tougher heroic public event type activity. Not just going and doing raid encounters. 😕

                  • K so do you not want to learn the activities or something? There’s lots of people out there willing to teach, I’ve taught hundreds of people over the years how to raid, there’s lots of videos online to teach the encounters as well, what won’t work though is just getting on lfg with no mic and hoping for a carry, so if it’s more of like a social anxiety issue, then I feel for you that’s rough, good groups can carry one person each time by having them run jobs that require no communication other than listening.

When I first started raiding, I struggled a lot too and wasn't sure it was for me. But then I decided to give it another shot and looked online for some help. I stumbled upon the pantheon destiny 2 on wowvendor, and it really turned things around for me. It broke down each encounter in a way that made sense to me, and I started enjoying the game a lot more. If you ever decide to give it another try, that guide might make a big difference. Good luck, and I hope you find something that suits your style!

I don’t say this ever… it’s a bait to get the most hardcore players back at least once a week before final shape. That’s it

It happens. Enter all the hate, but I'm still going to say it. People say things like Pantheon and Raids are for the hardcore, and currently it is, but the game is classified as a massive multiplayer. Any game with that classification should be set up to accomodate the average player throughout. Raids shouldn't be so complicated you have to look up a Youtube video before attempting to try it IF you can get 6 people together. I blame noone who doesn't trust LFG. Its a toxic cesspool. I refuse to touch it too. There really should be some kind of setup for the average person in time requirements, difficulty, and team size, and a hardcore version just full of all the hardcore stuff that will take hours for hardcore people. That would give the biggest audience. Scaling is another option. You can do literally everything solo or with a party, but it scales difficulty with more players in party. Baseline it should all be doable though. I thought that was the point of MMOs, unless I'm mistaken. The point shouldn't be prestige or exclusivity, most certainly not for something classified as a Massive Multiplayer. The point is to make these games fully playable by most of the playerbase, with realistic expectations because the money needed to fund it literally requires that. People will argue and say "Well you should know what it is". Yes. Problem though, is how is a developer going to make a niche game that's supposed to appeal to mass audiences? It doesn't make sense in the first place. You want a successful MMO, well you have to develop a largely, more casual friendly experience through and through because that's where the masses are to fund it. I don't understand how that isn't understood. Any dev who can't understand, or can't accomodate that really has no business creating such a game. The only real difference needed is just a slower loot and material gain from average level activities, within reason. That's the only thing, beyond cosmetic titles that really should be present between player difficulties.

                          • this is gonna sound elitist but pantheon isn’t for everyone. it’s pinnacle endgame content just for some vanity items (emblems and a title) so for average players it’s not really worth it but for raiders it sure is

                            • The skill level of the general playerbase of destiny has just steadily been decreasing and it really shows with this pantheon activity. The LFG is useless to find other people who actually know what they’re doing and even when you do they’re incompetent. The activity is also just a bad concept. Build a raid gauntlet for the best of the best, have literally no way to gatekeep if that’s true or not. Then reward those players with the loot they are already going to have if they are apart of that top 2%. It’s sort of the whole issue with raiding in destiny 2. You can be more than good enough to do the raid but good luck finding 5 other people who are. Other games that have raiding use linear progression to weed people out. That for the most part is what d1 did. You couldn’t hit max light without spending 100s of hours in nightfall and strikes or without raiding. Take other games with raids. FFXIV. You need to be able to do hard dungeons to get the Ilvl for a normal raid. You need to have a full set of your BiS normal raid gear to do a savage raid. To do a ultimate raid you need a full set of your BiS savage gear. In D2 any chuckle blam can walk in off the street into a master raid and make it then undoable for their teammates.

                              • I dont really know who its for. The people that raid have already done this content and gotten these weapons. The people that dont do raids arent gonna be like, oh, yeah, my bad. I forgot all this stuff was already here. Its just the raids we already have repackaged. Its only here for the next month, so, you know, fomo.

                                • It's not really difficult, just watch a few videos and go in with first-timers, you'll have great fun, avoid the "KWTD and QUICK RUN" posts, they're not fun, just hard-core players who will have no patience for you ( or anyone else for that matter) Still to this day my most enjoyable Raid was Kings Fall, 6 of complete Raid Virgins, Never laughed so hard for 5 hours straight. I dont really Raid anymore, not because I don't enjoy it, mainly because I've give up on the grind for weapons that don't make a difference in gameplay anymore. You'll have fun as a group of first timers!

                                  • I was going to post a thread about Pantheon asking the question, " what is the point?" I mean, the players who are in clans probably raid regularly, have all the loot, and are burned out on raid farming. There is no matchmaking for obvious reasons. It would be nigh on impossible for 6 strangers without communication to complete, especially if it was their first time. So the only reasons I can think of is to try to get first timers or solo players to use LFG or fireteam finder lobbies (and we hear so many complaints about how toxic that experience can be), or, to give the streamers and content creators a bit of a back hander by giving them a mode that they could provide carries for, probably in the understanding that they will give positive hype to Final Shape which is way down on pre orders.
