Movies 2014

Movies ... let's see Below are the movies I saw at the theater. Movies I missed seeing at the theater and saw instead on Blu Ray isn't listed here. Here goes ... 1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (great movie but i think it was overrated ... just my opinion) 2. The Lego Movie (good, fun movie) 3. The Amazing Spiderman 2 (liked it more than i thought i would) 4. Godzilla (really liked this one. the pacing was slower than i expected but in a good way) 5. Tammy (it wasn't what i was expecting to be honest. funny but not 'The Heat' funny) 6. Earth to Echo (felt like this gen's ET in a way) 7. How to Train your Dragon 2 (one of my favorites this year by far. Incredible movie) 8. 22 Jump Street (I liked 21 Jump Street so 22 Jump Street was a shoe in) 9. Maleficent (Angie Jolie was incredible in this movie! Very good) 10. Transformers: Age of Extinction (worst movie i've seen this year. horrible!) 11. Ride Along (not as funny as i expected. Kevin Hart carried the entire movie) 12. The Monuments Men (i really enjoyed this one. great performances all around!) 13. Robocop (a great rehash of the classic. i liked this one) 14. Non Stop (Okay, it's Liam Neeson ... what's not to like?) 15. 300: Rise of an Empire (i thought this was WAY better than the original. That's just me. ) 16. Muppets Most Wanted (it was okay. nothing to write home about. the songs weren't half bad though) 17. Sabotage (awesome movie! Arnold did an amazing job in this one. great movie) 18. Edge of Tomorrow (Tom Cruise continues to show that he's the man for Sci Fi. Good movie) Well I think that's it. If I had to pick, my favorite movie this year is probably How to Train your Dragon 2. The animation was some of the best I've seen in a CGI movie and the story was very well done. I could find no fault in it. Runner up: Sabotage--simply because I'm a sucker for action movies. Turns out this one was very well done. Arnold surprised me with this one. Honorable mention: Monuments Men--The cast was spot on with Bill Murray and Bob Balaban stealing the show. Worst movie ... Transformers 4, easy! We all love to hate Michael Bay and this movie shows us why. It was a horrible mess of a movie. To be fair I enjoyed the movie ... for what it was. Of the 4 TF movies this one was easily the worst.
