Destiny "HAHA, In your face 343!" Easter Egg Idea
[u][i]How would y'all like to see an Easter Egg that somehow rubs Destiny in 343's face, or a character makes a joke the relates to 343? Because we all know very well from the Halo 3 and Halo 3 ODST "monkey people" or Chaka, as I like to call them, and from the talking grunts, as well as the IWHBYD Skull, that Bungie likes to do lots of little funny jokes! So, what do y'all think about an Easter Egg that rubs Destiny in 343's face? And if not, why? KEEP IN MIND, YOU OVERLY CRITICAL PEOPLE, THAT IT WOULD BE A JOKE, NOT AS A MEAN THREAT, JUST A JOKE, BESIDES WHY CAN'T ANY OF YOU PEOPLE TAKE A [b]JOKE[/b]?!?!?!?[/i][/u]
Dear All of you Overly Critical People,
Most of the topics I start on this forum are usually either questions, or ideas to ponder, this topic is an idea to ponder. Keep in mind that we are (I don't mean to be weird or anything) all in this together. This is an idea to ponder, not to violently strike down and immediately discharge, AND I believe that ALL of you would like to see it, but are afraid to admit it because you will be ridiculed like I have been, that's why all of you brave enough to say yes have not commented. So, to all of you who said no and insulted me and my topic, just ponder the idea, DON'T kill it because it's stupid.

I'm going to have to go with no. Whereas I may not like the job 343 is currently doing with Halo, aside from Forward Unto Dawn, I believe that they can did their stride and fix Halo up to be good again.

6 Replies343 is one of the reasons I'm switching to ps4 Halo 4 was complete garbage. The best part about Halo 4 was the campaign and that was decent.

If anything, they may make an Easter egg that shows that they admire the work 343 has done, though it may be different then how Bungie would have actually handled.

Bungie sold Halo to 343i. Why would they then rub Destiny in their face? It's like buying a loaf of bread at the local store and getting a middle finger from the shopkeeper for no reason...

A good opportunity for a good inside joke is Bungie's usual MO, and basically their way of engaging in... well... Shenanigans. Some like running across a shop in the last city named "Halo Games" or something, and having a pair talking in front of it, saying things like, "No, no, we're still the same store. Just under new ownership... no, that's a good thing sir... it was a mutually beneficial arrangement... ehh, their off on another project..." Having played Halo 4, and enjoyed it immensely, I have a hard time seeing as why Destiny should rub anything in anybody's face. 343 did a bang-up job running Halo in their first run, and I look forward to their second. Likewise, I'm waiting with bated breathe for Destiny. But I don't think it's the right approach to factionalize this topic. Bungie moved on to this project and we're all happy for it. And lord knows how many people would've moaned and groaned if Halo was just shelved and never touched again, so I'm glad those most dedicated to that franchise took the risk to stay with it and continue to give it their all. Especially considering that it's basically the same team members who worked on Halo in bungie... so really very little changed in the Halo team besides their being fewer people, a different composer, and a few fresh faces. I think the core idea is a good one, but I think the tone which you choose to approach it has brought you this heat. "Rubbing their face in it" is not usually a good way to start a conversation of any kind... especially considering that it's a pretty sure bet a lot of folks who are going to be playing Destiny are still playing Halo 4, and probably saving for Halo 5. So to wax poetic in closing, I think you might have stepped on a few dicks and got some heat as a result: Easter Egg idea was good, but needlessly confrontational in tone.

You're hoping for some kind of universal popularity or acceptance of your ideas and that just isn't going to happen. As I've said before you live up to your name of being very zealous about your opinion and ideas. This is not a compliment. Zealotry is usually associated with extremism and not looked highly upon. As for your outlandish claim that you believe that EVERYONE would want to see this, I cannot believe that you would be so arrogant as to claim something like that. It makes you look like a completely self-absorbed jerk. I, for one, would not like to see ANYTHING related to Halo in Destiny. I would LOVE you Bungie to completely move on from Halo and go into Destiny. There wasn't this big cry for Easter Eggs from ONI or Marathon into Halo, so why does there need to be one now? If they do it, great if they don't, who cares? And why would they want to insult 343, even jokingly? Its not very classy and I am sure Bungie has great respect for 343 industries because they have done an admirable job on their own version of Halo (Halo 4 has an 87 score on Metacritic, and that is very admirable no matter what these forums might say.) It would make Bungie look immature in my eyes if they tried to insult 343 with an Easter egg, joking or not. I would much rather see them put a respectful shout out to 343 as an Easter Egg, than an insult.
