As the dust continues to accumulate on the lonesome facility. Memories replay in the background of how much this group thrived during its peak time. When we held a very popular Tournament back in 2009, "Hope Unto Dawn" a charity event were all the proceeds went to Child's Play Charity. An event were Bungie gave us codes for that precious armor that at one point everyone wanted.
Five years after the birth of Facility B5D I can still remember all the great people I met, some I still talk to and became great friends. Others moved on with their lives, some got hired to work for Bungie and completely forgot about the ones they used to game with. It was a great run starting off as a small group on Bnet and expanding to our very own website outside of Bnet. At one point we had nearly 2,500 members at our home away from Bungie which was FacilityB5D.com, it is no longer running. All that is left is this group on Bnet which is more lifeless than a zombie from "The Walking Dead". Although the group has died out I still have a special place for it in my heart.
B5D it was a great group, not just a group but an online family. Thanks to everyone once again.

B5D was the reason I stayed on the Bungie forums, and came on as often as I did. Back in the days of B5D, BWO, S1P, etc, the titans of private groups, and the community was thriving. Hopefully Destiny will bring new massive Bungie subcommunities

I think some people should get together and try to start a group like this, a group that will be like a family and work to help others but also to be good at Destiny. I would gladly join it and be part of it.

how does one come about joining?
-
Just started up a new clan, just asking If anybody would like to join. It's an all Australian clan so that Australians always have somebody to play with. Feel free to join you don't have to I'm just putting it out there. If you want to join just search AussieGuardiansUnite. My name on 360 is BluRz SketcH :)

There will never be another B5D without teck and kritical. Without them it will never be the same. Some of us will still be here like myself. I will never run away.

Though I never joined the group here, I did sign up on your forum a few years back.

Edited by Hey You: 12/13/2013 3:25:45 AMEven though I wasn't around for the Bnet group forums, I had some of the best internet community memories and experiences with B5D. Was Honoured to be a member, staff and administrator. Met a lot of great people and even ignored my own community for B5D. It's too bad B5D didn't live on. If it Decides to come back ( and it's own site) I Would love to be apart of it.

Many people say I don't know who you are or your group never had fame. Looks like you where never around back in 2008-2010. We were amongst the most popular groups on bnet. Branching out to our on website late 2008. Which in return gave us 2,500+ members.

Edited by G7kherc: 12/5/2013 7:41:41 PMI wasn't around for this. :( Just don't leave this forum okay? I remember the good Halo 3 times! :(

Now your making me think about halo 3. Dam anybody remember when zombie mode first came out that on weekend...those times, the funny halo 3 videos, the classical old world of warcraft before lich king. The good old 07-09 gaming time. That spam of gaming was the best. Those 3 years are unforgettable times.

I remember winning my Recon armour from the Bungie Day games back in 2009 I think. What a surprise that was. I felt like some sort of celebrity every time I went on multiplayer. Ha! The good old days.

I remember joining that group after I won that special armor from a screenshot contest. Doesn't even seem like that long ago. :(
-
No, you really never were.

Those sure were good times.

This place has changed and not for the better. How can B5D thrive when so many members are gone and the site that hosts this once amazing group is now a sad shadow of it's former glory.B5D was once an amazing group to be with. I am proud that some of my favorite memories were with these members. I hope that one day B5D can come back and make a difference in the community that it gave so much to. Thank you cALi tEck.
