What Car Manufactures Have Grown On You?

What are some car manufacturers that have grown on you recently? I think KIA and Hyundai have really stepped up their game. I think some of their stuff looks decent. What really interests me is their new stinger. While I don't think it's perfect I think it's a huge step in the right direction for Kia. I'd love to get my hands on one and see what it's like.

  • So wait. Kia has a luxury/sport brand now?

    • I have always shied away from imports (Euro or Asian), but I've been growing warmer toward BMW and Audi. Porsche, Ferrari, Jaguar have always had a special place just because of what they are, but I honestly have no love for the 911's VWish looks. Audi still has some butt ugly deigns though, but their drive-trains can't be overlooked. The only Japanese car I would ever consider would be Lexus. I just simply do not like the others.

      • Kia is definitely up there. Sure, they don't have any supercars or luxury sports cars [a la Jaguar F-type competitor], but the transition they've made from mid-90's to now is phenomenal. I have a number of friends and coworkers with newer Kias, and they all love them. A coworker's son was in a pretty bad accident in his Kia Soul, and he walked away with a couple bruises.
