Alfa Romeo 4C or Dodge Challenger Hellcat

Lets say you have around 60k to spend on a car, and your only options are the beautiful Alfa Romeo 4C or the insanely powerful Dodge Challenger Hellcat. Which do you pick? I'd pick the Alfa hands down. I mean just look at it. It's so beautiful. Not only is it gorgeous, its a light nimble sports car. It's so light, and it just seems to be car that's all about having fun. Plus its an Alfa Romeo which means whenever you drive it, you'll have a smile on your face. The Hellcat is an insane 707hp machine but it doesn't do anything for me. I respect it and I'm glad it exists but I'd take the Alfa over it every dang time.

  • Having owned an SRT Magnum and driven plenty of 300's, Chargers and Challengers, I am very familiar with the wheelbase, handling, stance and reactions of the base frame, suspension and drivetrain. The thing is (at least for me) that the HP is a lot like a concealed weapon. It's always there, you're always aware of it, but you only use it when you choose to. I like sleepers. Though it's not easy to "sell" a Challenger as a sleeper. So I would probably go with the Hellcat, debadge and remove most of the tagging on it that ID's it as a Hellcat. While I can respect and admire gorgeous cars (the Alfa is beautiful), I personally don't want/need a "look at me" sort of car. I'd rather have something that if I do decide to punch it, all that the person in the lane beside (or behind me) can see is my quickly disappearing taillights and the sound of them saying "WTF was THAT?"
