The Awoken

So i know i'm kinda late but i was thinking why are the awoken referred to as the awoken why do they live in the darkness why don't they choose a side, and why does every race seem to fight but yet hate humans/guardians the most well i think it's because the traveler is evil and yet good, the same goes for the darkness the awoken are just the only ones who can see through both sides neither are good enough nor bad enough for the awoken to choose a side. Like when an Alpha wolf eats more than its share of the meal its not evil to feed your self but its not good to be greedy or unjust but the awoken or omega wolf instead of fighting with the alpha for being greedy decides to separate its self from the pack, ALONE WOLF
