Community Jane- Camm

Hey everyone, welcome to another installment of the Community Joes! Before we start, I'd like to thank everyone who has nominated someone and/or read the previous interviews. It means a lot, so thank you! This time around we have a woman...AN ACTUAL WOMAN. She's cool because her name also starts with a "C" just like me. I give you, Camm. CT: Hi there, tell us about yourself.
Camm: I'm Camm... you can call me Camm. I'm an old lady who's married and has kids and stuff. Well, kinda old. I'm an adorable homemaker and co-owner of a custom car audio and accessories business. Grand I tell ya. Grand.
CT: Sounds like the good ol' American dream, eh? Could you hook me up with some sweet speakers to make my neighbors jealous?
Camm: Absolutely. Not only will they make your neighbors undies vibrate but they'll come in a sweet box that will be made entirely by hand. Completely custom! SUCK IT CHORRIZO'S NEIGHBORS!
CT: Good. Jerks think they're better than me because they have a tree house, I'll show them. So Camm, what made you come to this place we all call our home on the internet?
Camm: Well believe it or not, I never really touched a XBOX until I moved in with my (now) husband around August of 2010. I brushed the dust off (my husband hardly has time to play video games) made an account and played the crap out of Aegis Wing for about a month.... until Halo: Reach came out. One of my best friend's encouraged me to take that first jump into a FPS. That's exactly what I did. Fell in love with the game and came here for the stats, obviously. One day I randomly stumbled onto the Flood and was obviously sucked in by all of these classy people here. They've had a hold of me ever since.
CT: We all know the flood is classy...so classy they suck you in and turn you into one of them if you don't get out fast enough. What made you stay? Me, right?
Camm: Of course it was you... but not entirely. I think the biggest reason why I started coming back, on a regular basis, was because of the unfamiliarity. I had never been on a forum before and it was all new and exciting to me. Not only was I diving into this video game world (of this day and age) but I was somehow a part of it's community. The community of the first FPS that I had fallen in love with. Not to mention the amazing people that I've grown to know who really stood out to me. People of the community that I could relate with on so many different levels. Those are the kind of people you want in your life, whether near or far.
CT: Hell yeah. The best friends in life are the ones you can really connect with. Be it through school, work, or even the internet. So, you say you fell in love with Halo: Reach. What is it exactly that made you fall for it?
Camm: I'm sure it had more to do with the process of just figuring out how to even play a FPS in the first place. It was challenging and I love a challenge. Dat story! I loved it. Pulled me in completely. Honestly, I don't think I knew just how much I loved damn near everything about Reach, until I ventured out to other FPS games. The feel just wasn't the same.
CT: Halo, in my opinion , has always been very unique compared to other FPS games, so I understand your disappointment. So, you love Halo right? How excited are you for Destiny?
Camm: Extremely. I'm sick and tired of every game that I have because they aren't Destiny. That's really all I want to experience right now. I think it's going to be beautiful and I know I'll fall in love with it as well. This is honestly the first game that I've ever actually been excited over (remember, I'm still new to this video game world) but I think it's the perfect one to be excited about).
CT: I don't think any of us could blame you, we all want to play already! What has you most excited about it? What class will you play as?
Camm: The uniqueness of the game. All the customizing. But I think the exploration in the game is what really has me excited. I just can't wait to play it with friends. It will be an adventure, I'm sure. I'm not sure what class I want to be. I think I'll make that decision when the option is available and right in front of me. I'll say the Warlock is pretty intriguing though.
CT: No love for the Titan? Hmph. Cam, what are your talents and what are your hopes and dreams?
Camm: I'm a natural at cooking. I absolutely love it. Lame talent but I don't care. I plan on making a cookbook some day with all of my delcious recipes. How thoughtful am I? I also hope to one day further my education in the field of photography. Portrait photography. It's another passion of mine. Most importantly.. I hope to raise respectful, well rounded, disciplined and open-minded children. It's my ultimate goal in life. How could it not be?
CT: Cooking is a great talent, people are always going to be hungry! As for your children, I’m sure they’ll turn out great. Cam, is there anything else we should know about you? Are you a super hero? Do you like the banjo? Can you rap?
Camm: Is my cape showing? I don't really like the banjo. The sound throws me off. I do, however, love playing on some bongos and I fiddle around with guitars. Electric and acoustic. Something a lot of people don't know about me is that I absolutely love to sing. You'll never hear me sing but when no one is listening, I can get down with some vocals. I also enjoy practicing meditation. Clearing up my mind a bit is key to not completely losing it. :P
CT: It's ok to be a little crazy though, it makes the world go round.Singing eh? Wanna sing for everyone on b.net? Is there anyone you'd like to give a shout out to?
Camm: Only a few here have heard me sing and it was on xbl and I was drunk so.... it doesn't count, right? RIGHT? I don't like to point out people individually because the people I care for on this site, enough to give a shout out to, know exactly who they are. I will, however, give a shout out to the absolute 3 best groups of this community. I'm sure we all hope to hear you sing soon. Good luck with your business and have a great weekend. [end] Well, that's a wrap for this time. I hope you enjoyed the interview and thanks for reading. Still know someone that should be interviewed? Nominate them! Stay tuned. Next time, we have a very special treat in store for you guys. A clash between old and new. #dragonsbro [questions, comments, and concerns are always welcome.]
