Mail Call! Answer the letters Bungie wrote to you.

The names of the brave developers who wrote you these letters have been withheld. All will be revealed later. You will all see each other's answers. We need to leave something to mystery. For now, answer these questions. You don't have to answer all of them. In fact, I would recommend that you do not. Choose the queries that speak to you the most - the ones for which you have the best answers. This is not a test, although you should quote the questions that you are answering (please don't make me wonder how to match your words with ours). You may reply to this thread once! Let's open the Sack... What good books (besides the Halo novels) have you been reading lately that you would recommend? When you aren't playing Halo or dreaming about what we're concocting, what do you do for fun? What was your 2011 game of the year? What's your most memorable story moment from any game you've played, ever, and why? Has playing a game narrative (story, characters, etc.) ever caused you to cry? Why you gotta be like that? Choose one. Explain your choice. Kirk or Picard? And why? Reach deep now. Why do you play games? Favorite Pen & Paper RPG, and why? What was your first game system, and what was your favorite game on that system? If we built the stadium, would you enter a real world Grifball tournament? In your opinion, what's the best video game system of all time? Who is your best and worst villain? Can you sing the theme to Sea Hunt without cheating on the Intertubes? (upload video proof - link it here) What was your favorite non-Halo Bungie game, and why?

 • 1.) What good books (besides the Halo novels) have you been reading lately that you would recommend? I have recently finished the Song of Ice and Fire series. It's fantastic. The HBO series does it great justice. 2.) When you aren't playing Halo or dreaming about what we're concocting, what do you do for fun? I read, watch movies, ride my bike and get exercise, play games with my family. 3.) What was your 2011 game of the year? I'd go with Gears of War 3 or Skyrim. It's a tough choice. Probably the most fun with a game I had last year was probabvly Red Dead Redemption. I didn't get it when it came out. 4.) What's your most memorable story moment from any game you've played, ever, and why? The revelation of your true identity in Knights of the Old Republic. That game had an amazing story. In some ways, it surpassed the prequel trilogy. 5.) Has playing a game narrative (story, characters, etc.) ever caused you to cry? No, but I do get into it. 6.) Why you gotta be like that? I'm a man. Sorry. 7.) Choose one. Explain your choice. Give me the red pill. I'll face the truth over delusion any day. 8.) Kirk or Picard? And why? Picard. He's a much more versatile leader. Kirk's cool and all, but he just flies by the seat of his pants. Picard makes stuff happen [i]and]/i] he has a plan. 9.) Reach deep now. Why do you play games? I feel like you get the same entertainment that you get from movies, only you get to be a part of it. Even when the game is basically a train ride, if it is done well, you feel like you are an integral part of the story. I can't get enough of that feeling. 10.) Favorite Pen & Paper RPG, and why? AD&D. I used to play that for years. That was back when a computer version wasn't possible. There are still things that video games can't deliver that the pen and paper game could. 11.) What was your first game system, and what was your favorite game on that system? My first game system was Pong. As far as a system that could play multiple games, it was the Atari Video computer System(before it was caled the 2600). My favorite? I suppose it is the 360. I believe games just keep getting better. But I do fondly remember my Genesis. Edit: Misread the question. Mt favorite Atari game would have been Space Invaders. 12.) If we built the stadium, would you enter a real world Grifball tournament? God no. I suck at that game. The last thing I need is to get plastered in real life the way my Spartan does. 13.) In your opinion, what's the best video game system of all time? I'm gonna go with the 360. I absolutely love playing on Xbox Live. I spen the better part of decade trying different forms of networked gaming. There wass nothing but sorrow and heartache. Of course that was all pre-high speed internet. 14.) Who is your best and worst villain? Hannibal Lector. Of course he isn't really the villian, but is a villian. And the Silence of the Lambs is an unbelievably fantastic movie. I migfht also say Darth Vader. Star Wars shaped my childhood. The worst? Hmmm. Gotta be 15.) Can you sing the theme to Sea Hunt without cheating on the Intertubes? (upload video proof - link it here) No. 16.) What was your favorite non-Halo Bungie game, and why? I've only played Marathon and just a bit of that. :P [Edited on 05.09.2012 2:57 PM PDT]
