I just finished watching a single MLG King of the Hill match on Battle Canyon, and it honestly felt awesome. It's so nostalgic to see players coming back to that particular map that has always been with us since the beginning. Everything was so cheerful, everyone seemed to be having fun, and the map had life in it, it had color, it had soul. It was beautiful.
But then, the video was over and I found myself upon the endless pile of gameplays, commentaries and montages done over gray, dull maps all over Forge World.
Sometimes I hate the fact that competitive players want pure symmetrical maps in order to play. Sometimes I wish there had been MLG matches on Reflection, Anchor 9 or even Uplink (if anyone remembers that, map, which in my opinion was great).
Sometimes, I wish the so called "skill" was agreed by everyone to actually be to play on Default maps, and not boring forge variants.

I hate it when people involve money on things. Money creates good players because it's money what you're talking about. It just throws the chill, relaxed and sweet aspect of gaming out of the window. I guess I just want better damn maps then. And not just the same gray bull--blam!-. Besides, I believe MLG teams get money whether they win or lose, and in a perfect world *cough* before Forge *cough* they all had to agree to compete with the Halo 2 button combos and asymmetrical maps into play. And they did agree to compete like that.
