Here's something that should be added–be able to walk around your ship when in orbit. And maybe you and your fireteam could launch raids on enemy bases and steal supplies, which can be brought to the tower and given to, say, the shipwright, for a reward. Different ships could have various interiors as well as storage capacities for stolen arms/other supplies from raiding bases. This way your ship can actually serve another purpose aside from being symbols of prestige or just cool loading scenes (which are swell, don't get me wrong, but there's room for more).

This sounds awesome, with the exception of raising other people's bases. It's already hard enough to gain really good stuff. However, I love the idea of being able to enter the ship during orbit, whether it's to access items, decorate the interior, or simply enjoy walking around the ship. It gives you something other than just staring at your ship. Deej, Bungie: I hope you all see this and truly consider implementing this idea. 👍👍

Not bases belonging to other players, per se. That would be guardians warring with each other lol. Bases belonging to the other armies, similar to public events. Like I could raid a Cabal weapons depot for example.
