she WAS a guardian. her ghost is dead, so that's it....nowadays, she works for Ikora
when she was a guardian, she was a hunter. this can be verified in the grimoire card: "Eyes of Crota"
Eris: Something is watching us. I can feel it.
Omar: I hate when you say that.
Toland: Crota has many Eyes. Every god does.
Eris: We have to go.
Omar: If they know our every move, what chance do we have?
Toland: With their great age comes even greater wisdom. I have no doubt the Hive led us here with intent.
Omar: What are you saying?
Toland: For these disciples, we offer the greatest sacrifice.
Eris: What does that mean?
Toland: Do you feel your Light fading? They are offering it to Crota. Us coming here, we are the ones waking him.
Omar: He’s mad.
Toland: Perhaps.
Eris: Why do you hold these secrets like weapons, to damn us all?
Toland: Because they are weapons. And we are going to use them to show the Hive they are not the only ones who breed fear.
Eris: How?
Toland: You’re hunters—hunt. Find the Eyes that are upon us.
Omar: Then?
Toland: We blind Crota and use what's left of your dying Light to lead us to where these monsters seek to conjure their master.
Im not sure thats word for word saying shes a hunter. Maybe she is the last of a secret faction that hunted hive. I feel as shes a warlock but thats opinion. Notice its more towards the entire group saying "you're hunters." Why would there be a fireteam of only hunters? Just my thoughts
-
It wasn't a fireteam of only hunters.. Eris Morn, Omar Agah, and Sai Mota. 50% of the fireteam were hunters.. Eriana-3, and Toland were warlocks, and Vell Tarlowe was a Titan The grimoire card confirms she was a hunter...however, if that's not enough, in a 2015 interview, Luke Smith states that she is/was a hunter..
They're both hunters, which i didn't really necessarily notice at first, because Eris doesn't look too much like a hunter. She seems like a weird Warlock
- Luke Smith talking about the contrast in personality, and interactions between Eris Morn, and Cayde-6 in Destiny: The Taken King. GameInformer interview, published 10 August, 2015, time index 6:23 https://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2015/08/10/destiny-the-taken-king-39-s-new-approach-to-storytelling.aspx

Yes but it still doesn't explains many things Eris can do, things warlock like... Or maybe she is now a wizard....
-
Liiiiiiiike?
-
When she pulls you out from the death ceremony, that is a warlock thing created by Toland a warlock...
-
I chalk it up to her being changed by her time among the hive..
-
Yeah but is still a warlock thing not something that can be done by becoming hive , after all she would not become a wizard if she was a hunter nor a knight so what else is left? Nothing if she became something like a wizard it was because she was a warlock...

Finally putting those cards to use lol
-
I interpreted this as Toland calling the group of them hunters - as in hunters of Crota. Which was their mission was it not? Also from the Sardon, Fist of Crota card:
Eris: We will face them all, together. We have no time to fight individual battles. Toland: I have no doubt the Fist will welcome your challenge, Titan. When we face him, you will lead the charge. Come, Crota's Temple lies ahead. If we can breach it, I'm sure another fight awaits.
He calls her a Titan right there.
-
i believe it was confirmed that Toland was actually talking to Vell, who was the only titan on the team.
-
Yeah I read the interview with the dev, she was a warlock
-
um, no. Grimoire is the final word. and the interview was with a community manager, NOT a member of the development team, and he obviously got it wrong....which isn't entirely surprising, given that he's a glorified forum manager...
-
Thanks. It seems the grimoire has finally revealed the truth! haha
