Trading System in Destiny

Yes, there should be a trading System

No, there shouldn't be a trading system

Recently I read an article about a YouTuber commenting how he thinks there should be a trading system in destiny. I disagree with this and here's why. 1. A trading system in destiny would cause something called "Goldfarming" for many of you who don't know Goldfarming is when a group or company sells an in game product for real world money. A popular example of this happening is World of Warcraft. These farmers are able to make hundreds to thousands a day based on their operation size. In doing so they ruin the community and the overall game experience for everyone. 2. The in game economy as it stands is based upon player to npc interaction. In many ways Destinys economy is left winged allowing them to set and sell as they see fit. Bringing a trade system into the game shifts it to a right wing, free economy. Doing so creates inflation and uncontrollable prices based on a free market economy. The price for an exotic would be solely based on supply and demand. This type of market would allow for people or groups to intentionally adjust prices based on supply of the product. Now these are just my thoughts and I wish to hear other people's. Comment below I will read them all.

    • Maybe "new" tradeable items would work out better..

    • Trading should be in Destiny but in a way that would prevent most of what you are stating: You can only trade Legendary or better Armor and weapons. No Shaders, No Class items, No glimmer, No marks, No materials, No coins..ect. It's a one for one trade This will keep the economy from becoming inflated, an leave it to the person if it's a worth while trade or not...

    • I agree with you, I don't think destiny should have an open trading system... But have a look on my suggestion "Fair trading system" Basically, trading should only be allowed within the fireteam, but you can only trade and item with a fireteam member, if he was in the fireteam when that particular item dropped. For e.g. You have a fireteam doing the nightfall, and you get your 4th Jellyhorn, well, I reckon you should be allowed to trade that particular drop, but not your ice breaker of any other Jellyhorn in your inventory. Also, you a player joins in the fireteam later, you can't trade your Jellyhorn with him. The trade should have a time limit to happen, so players can go to the tower or switch characters for gear if needed to make the trade.

    • Trading, if any is implemented, should be restricted with those who do have the DLCs and not - and also restricted to profiles who are linked to others as friends, not random trading with random Fireteam mercenaries. Auctions like the ones in Star Wars LOTR could be useful, using Glimmer or materials, or Marks as currency. NO real world money should ever be involved with this system. But that being said, they need a lot more kiosks in The Tower rather than having only one being involved with Faction-oriented gear - and every planet should have a safe haven besides the Tower, complete with its own assortment of vendor kiosks and NPCs that sell gear. It gets a bit tedious and boring to see the same Legendary permanently 269/330 max damage weapons being sold and offered. Level caps and weapon damages should be raised. Also, every Exotic weapon AND armor should have a bounty / cookie trail not just the base five that currently exist. You know, the ones that require like, 8 long grinding steps to acquire. That would add to the other standard spend many hours of time grinding Strikes, and Heroics that people play to help level their characters and gear.

    • I also believe it's a bad idea An example I thought of is this: A dlc person has Crota's end raid gear and wants to give it away, so the receiver is a person who will trade vog raid gear, but doesn't have the dlc. That person just got obtained stuff that had a pay barrier, which wouldn't make bungie or activision very happy.
