My tactic was to just throw sun grenades on the floor and stand inside it, then kill a few thrall with my vanquisher VIII as it has grenade cooldown reduction on it for every kill, then rince repeat on each lamp. Plus I have sunbreakers so that helps. This was just on the normal mode though!
