DeeJ's response (an update we may get.)
This week at bungie studios, there has been a storm. What kind of storm you ask? A storm that can only be described as 1000 voices screaming in terrifying unison. Our web team has had a diet of coffee and energy drinks while they tried to sort out the mess this weekend. It keeps me up at night wondering what woes have possessed our community. Perhaps our guardians are all too eager voice their support for change. Change is good but you cannot rush it. Like fermenting wine, we sometimes we must learn to allow the goddess of chronology perform her glorious magics.
Yes, I have seen your desire for a certain update. Let me take this time to say that I understand your pain and frustration. However, we are working to bring you exciting new changes. What are those changes you may ask? Well young guardian, life is like a box of chocolates. You never know which one will fill you with joy. Or wait.....was that how the phrase goes? As you can see, I am so excited for the plans the devs have in store from us that cliche adages about the quality of life elude me. Instead I will ironically attempt to be ambiguously vague and hope you all can thank me for it.
In other news, over 1 trillion players have punished Crota without using cheese! this community continues to fascinate and impress me! You, the players are our inspiration and our muse. It is your undying wavering bravery that helps us forge a new path into the light of the dark. Think about it, 1 trillion players, that's more than the entire population of Earth! Perhaps Destiny is being enjoyed by extraterrestrials in the vastness of space......or perhaps superfluous hyperbole continues to be a most uncomfortable bane of attrition.

Lord Saladin just doesn't get a break does he? Or maybe he does and he decides to spend his vacations with you guardians. That's right, the iron banner is back by popular demand. New friendships will blossom, others will blossom even more. I have my warlock ready to go and should I encounter you on the battlefield, remember the crucible is no place for mercy. But Saladin will be merciful with plenty of loot and rewards. Should you be lucky enough to participate in this engrossing event, you may find yourself with a big tidy souvenir yourself from Saladin's own stashes. It's time to let those 32s flourish! Show the others how hard you have been working but remember, power is not all you need to be a successful iron banner champion. Teamwork is just as imperative, if not more important than going solo. So grab a friend or 5 and don't miss out on Lord Saladin's goodies! Jib jub bappity flap!

All i have to say is if you look at the bottom of the box of chocolates you can see what's in the box. Also looking at the chocolate you can tell what you get based on the shape.

7 RepliesBravo. That's the most frustrating thing about Deej's posts. He really is an interesting writer and yet he spends so much time spicing up ways to say convoluted nothings, or patronizing his audience with the typical "we hear you loud and clear"s, without articulating what Bungie is doing about that. Case in point; the dreaded vault space issue. Bungie has waited so long to respond to this that even if they quadrupled the vault space next week, the community will respond "about F'n time" instead of being grateful. I really hope Bungie learns from the community management for Diablo 3. That game was released with a very good foundation but with so many flaws, and the community was extremely vocal and critical for years. It took them forever to realize that they needed to constantly discuss proposed changes with the community and release betas for major patches, so the community could work collaboratively with the Dev team before it went live. Destiny could badly use such a collaborative process with its community. Not because they owe us anything, but because it's the best way to save their brand and ensure its longevity. Honestly, I feel bad for Deej sometimes. He's clearly severly limited in what information he can share, so having him face the masses under such restrictive conditions is really hanging him out to dry. Reprimanded if he shares too much. Hated if he doesn't. It's a shame. That's why the best update in a long time was the week he was away; tons of substance with little fluff.

1 ReplyGuardians, we've heard you loud and clear. Guardians are not truly experiencing everything this game has to offer, not becoming legend. You are dismantling weapons simply because you can. So, for your own good, we are requiring a guardian to get 1,000 kills with a gun before dismantling. This is not how we intended the game to be played. -Deej

1 Replylets fix all the cheesing but not fix all the glitches people are seeing in these raids. bungie would rather see people trying for hours trying to beat a broken glithchy raid than spending 30 minutes to an hour having fun playing it our way.i beat the raids legit and cheesing I don't care, I don't have time to sit there for 4 hours trying to beat something that has glitch after glitch fix the damn glitches, everyone knows what they are,1 example. I was at atheon on hard got transported to venus had 2 oracles left to kill and all of a sudden 2 suplicants came into the portal and killed 2 of us. whats up with that.

This update is BS! Only one paragraph each devoted to PVP and the Raid? I paid 20.00 for this. I want to see pictures, hear interviews of the players from that small town in BFE nowhereville! I want to see pictures of the guy taking the pictures of the interviewer of the players. Don't listen to these Whiners Deej. I and the 2 people I know are here to support you! We will proudly wear our Shoegloo in your name!
