the update you dont deserve "I like how people think they can just pull all of this out of their ass like it takes 5 minutes to do. Like any of you know jack shit about how any of the development/programming works. "We are doubling vault space, hell, lets triple it, what do we care?" I'm pretty sure they aren't just holding back vault space just for no reason. It's most likely an issue with how to implement it properly. Which takes TIME TO FIGURE OUT. "You can now trade your useless ascendant mats for other things, 10 to 1 for radiant mats, 1 to 1 for marks." Useless to you maybe. I still get weapons from engrams and such that require ascendant materials. And they most likely won't do this because it affects gear progression. You're basically saying you're too impatient to build up radiant mats for Crota and want some for free. "Survival mode added. Its really fun, and you get more loot the longer you stay alive." Because adding a mode like that is just like flipping a switch right? It totally wouldn't take time to develop and design how to make it work, where it should happen, what are appropriate rewards, etc. It's a nice idea. However just the idea doesn't get it made. And how it gets made is something you know nothing about. "Grimoire is accessible in game, so people actually read it." People do read it. Just because you're too lazy to go to your computer and use the bungie site doesn't mean everyone is. I've read every one that I've obtained. And once again, they'd have to develop an interface and everything for that, which takes time and development. "As you complete sections of the grimoire, cut scenes are unlocked, revealing story points, it was always there, we just forgot to put it in." Oh right they just forgot to put it in. Lol. Really? And this is another thing people don't seem to understand. Just because it's in the lore, doesn't mean it's going to be in game. Because the story in the game is about YOU. Not someone from 200 years ago, not someone that has nothing to do with current events. Y. O. U. The story is about you in this universe, not just the universe itself. So it tells the story from your perspective and thus focuses on things only happening to you. "You can now change your characters appearance once a week for 10,000 glimmer." Ya let's just make our character's appearance pointless and devalue it by letting you change it like you change clothes. Maybe a haircut, but full re-do? I really don't think so. "We made some really fun bounties for you to try, because we are sick of the same crap since launch as well." Once again, not that simple. And if you're tired of the bounties, don't do them. Take a break. Nobody is making you do them. "You can now add modifiers to any mission, and complete it for rewards suitable to difficulty." And what would be "suitable" rewards? It can't be anything too substantial because the way you describe it, they'd be farmable. "Of course we don't want every single core player looking identical, the outfitter can help. You just need the armor that has the appearance you want and the armor that has the stats you want. Take it to the outfitter with a chunk of some materials or something and BLAM you have sweet, unique armor, it's so -blam!-ing simple, I can't believe we didn't have this in since release." Because implementing that is just SO simple. Oh wait, it's not. This is also one of those things that most likely they didn't have on release because they didn't know players would want it. There are things that you have to get player feedback on for development that they may not think of. People seem to think that somehow bungie should know what we want before we even tell them. "Crota's End sparrow can do tricks." Ya that's an incredibly important change, I'm sure. Right at the top of the list. "We agree, all those low impact auto rifles and pulse rifles are like shit on a dick. Nobody wants it, so we added some decent/balanced ones." No, they don't agree. Because that's your opinion. Not a fact. I personally love the Praedyth's Timepiece and it served me well. And also the Coiled Hiss I bought off the vendor. Their strength is in the stability and rate of fire. Not everything has to have super high impact to be good. The Three Little Words I have has a lot of impact, but it's slow as hell and feels clunky to use. And Atheon's Epilogue served me well as well. They can be good. There should be more variety, yes. But just because you don't like them doesn't mean they're bad. "We fixed all them annoying bugs, like the sword disappearing, heavy ammo synth not working, and the Templar random containment fields." What's that? Another thing that isn't that simple to fix and takes time to figure out and fix without breaking ten other things at the same time? It's almost as if you have no clue about making a game. "Queens Wrath is coming this week." That's not a fix. That's just you wanting Queen's Wrath. "Turns out there is not a problem with YOUR network, it was OUR problem all along. lol." When did they ever say that it was people's networks that was the problem? Never. That's why they have a team specifically for figuring out how to fix this stuff. "Oh, and 5 more strikes are available, just because we are rolling in cash, and we want to thank you, the customer, for being such a sport, and believing in us." Hey another thing that takes time to develop and plan, and doesn't just fly in out of nowhere. I swear people think that just because the game sold well it makes them God and they can do anything at the snap of their fingers. "But instead Bungie just carry on, completely oblivious to core problems in the game." They're not oblivious to it. It just doesn't happen over night. THINGS TAKE TIME TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT PROPERLY. FFS. They are listening. They've already made changes according to the community. You have people who made sparrow trick videos to thank for inspiring them to make the Tumbler. "Edit: Lol, ignore it until it goes away. Perfect PR. Oops, should I of pulled that punch?" Excuse them for not replying to every random twat who spews a million ideas about random shit every five seconds in the forums. "This post is unrealistic, that's the point, but what is unrealistic is not these ideas being implemented, but Bungie actually addressing issues the community reiterates week after week." And once again, you have no idea just how deep those issues may be, and how difficult they may or may not be to fix. They are not ignoring you. they're working their asses off. "Some acknowledgement is all we want, but instead we get ignorance." And if all they did was acknowledge it, you and others would be bitching that they give you the same copy/paste "we're working on it" response. Would that make you happy? No, because nothing will ever make people happy these days. Everyone has to be entitled to everything and thinks that they can just pull all of this out of their asses in a week's time. Because if you paid $60 for a game you're entitled to infinite hours of free extra content, all the items for no work, a free HDTV and console to play the game on, a pony, and a handjob from the devs. And if you don't get that, then the devs/publishers are money whoring bastards who are out to steal everything you own, kill your dog, screw your wife, and do whatever it takes to make your life a living hell while they sit on a throne of hookers drinking liquified one hundred dollar bills. FFS the gaming community as a whole has just gone to shit." - Omega8Trigun

  • As a developer, each piece will need to have scheduled time and put into a Sprint, passes QA before released in the package, aka patch. In a schedule Sprint, usually want to even out difficulty of work. For Vault space, I could do it within 12 hours if work for a full stack developer. Why 12, well I will need to do front end and back end code changes including database changes. Depending on the account size, architecture, and amount of data, a data update Then I would need to test on my dev local machine to ensure it works. After its done, I will need to do a build out to QA to test and iron out any bugs that arise. So 12 hours of work Dev only for vault space sounds right. For other changes, you may be looking at 1 week to a month of work. There is more to code than boolean statements; logic with business knowledge of the system is paramount. A minor UI change can cause a domino effect, which equates to major workload. Don't expect it to happen overnight, or even a week. In rare cases, a M - F push to production is awesome, but I pulled 55 hours that week. >.<

  • Why don't you work for Bungie? Seems like that the workers there are inefficient and slow based on your calculations.

  • I prefer making enterprise applications as game company jobs don't last after release of a game. I'm sure they have great talent in the studio but the issue is Activision micro management is killing the game. Ever since they teamed up with Bungie, I started disliking their practices as they don't truly listen to feed back. If the company I work for followed Bungies logic, we would have been sued.

  • also arena.net is so much smaller than bungie and has like a fraction of the budget that destiny had and yet? if people complain they fix sh!t. they add new sh!t. and bungie cant do a simple thing with their 500M budget? fcuk off idiot. people like you are the reason activision can keep putting little to no effort into cash grabs and get away with it.

  • well arent you a snarky little whiney bitch arent you? OP has a -blam!-ing point and is obviously being sarcastic in a lot of points. but you need to find "faults" in points that are 100% -blam!-ing right. i guess some people are just sad in that way.

  • I agree with you in a lot of points, some ideas are really good and some are just going to unbalance the game and make it too easy. Work needs to be done to make the good mods to the game and I understand that, I will wait with no problem at all. You lose me at the end, PR is S#it in this site and acknowledgement is needed. Not a reply on every post that, like you pointed out, will not work, but they could make from time to time (like once a month) a post telling us that they have listen to us and will take this, this and that idea to the "table".

  • Half bump, you're over the top in the same way OP is, there's a middle ground here because some things surely can be changed, but at the same time yes things take time and this game still is only a few months old. Also the community here isn't the worst but holy crap the wrong folk get attention... I'm holding out hope destiny 2 will be what we want, maybe once the DLC is added and there's a decent bundle going lol

  • So what you're saying is.. You're happy to spend $60+ on a broken game? Be realistic, with bungie's budget and developer teams they can easily implement a lot of these changes. Writings Codes/JavaScript/HTML/Binaries is easy because you know why?!? DEVELOPERS WENT TO -blam!-ING SCHOOL TO LEARN THAT SHIT! So for -blam!-sake, excuse us for paying money for a game that was half-ass developed from where they showcased it at E3 and wanting more than below satisfaction. PFFT. GTFO.
