House of Wolves will increase the damage to 362, you will have to reset all your exotics, again.
How would you feel about that?
Personally I think that might be the final nail in Destiny's coffin, for me at least. Extending playtime be resetting progress isn't a good mechanic at all in my opinion.

2 RepliesEasy things to help with a dlc transition bungie should of done: 1) free exotic upgrades for first week/fortnight , or for each exotics owned you are given a "upgrade token of appreciation" where you can go to the GUNSMITH not xur to upgrade via him to help with xur times and make he seem somewhat useful. 2)armour in vendors isn't actually an armour e.g Molina, grave whatever etc , it's actually buying the perk set and then you choose which "set" the perks are applied to , essentially letting you choose your look to old armours, new ones etc. 3) weekly caps that make sense. 100 for each? That doesn't seem right. Or atleast for each commendation they can be a new mark style currency carried on a menu screen not as an actual item. E.g. 100 marks 8 commendation. 1 commendation equates to roughly 5/10 marks as a helper it's meant to be such as armour costing 120 marks it would help mean you can get that within 1 weeks "grind" 4)no abrupt jump . Slowly bring updates over a month or two that trickle in small parts of the next dlc like a prologue to the dlc "chapter" in the story. E.g the weeks coming up to dark below we start getting odd bountys or a few missions that revolve around something odd /out of place around the hell mouth as if someone has entered it or come out . 5) old armours can be put in a specail vanguard based vault that allows you to give armour a make over for an amount of money to look like that . Have got some other ideas but on phone

I understand this is your guess but it's based on the truth. they did this last time, why wouldn't they do it again? I'm sad a couple of my really nice legendary weapons will be outdated and the fact I'll have to rebuy all new ones again. as for the exotics, yeah even though we just went through that, Bungie will sucker us in to doing it again. well, I hope they change the process but we will see.

You did not present it that way, your title did not say "what if" Your title: House of Wolves will increase the damage to 362, you will have to reset all your exotics, again. There is absolutely nothing about this that even [b]implies [/b]hypothetical. But you'd now that if you had two brain cells to rub together. Everybody climbs all over people about the tags, which are fine print, faded gray, barely noticeable when actually on the forums, they aren't presented like they are on the app. Why should people even look for a #satire or #hypothetical tag when your title makes it absolutely clear it's not? Learn to language. They just announced on some other gaming site that they plan on redoing the exotic upgrades for the next tier. No specifics on exactly how, but it should require less regrinding, hopefully be less expensive.

It certainly wasn't worded as a hypothetical. I agreed with you until I saw the reddit post, and I think you were making extremely logical conclusions about HoW, but once you were wrong I think a "well I guess I was wrong" would have served you better than your "omg guys it was hypothetical lol"

1 ReplyIf exotics are upgraded again: A) thanks for the re-roll opportunity so they aren't utterly useless. Other games aren't so kind. B) how about just adding another 3 bubbles or something to the upgraded version instead of zeroing it out? ie, it "starts" at 331 with both unique perks in tact, and I need 3 upgrade damages to get to 3xx. Or +whatever light.

Why do people feel the need to upgrade all of their exotics? Just max out the ones that matter to you, which doesn't take long, and be grateful you have the option to cling on to them with each release. These weapons are supposed to be exotic. Unique perks and unique in general. You don't need to have every single one maxed out and sitting in your vault like Smaug with his gold.

You figured that's how it would go. But bungie took a lot of shut from the community for having to reset all weapons and said that it will be resolved in the new dlc. They will not make that mistake again. I think your able to trade them in like before with xur and they leave off right where they were before the upgrade.

I just want another way to upgrade exotics, 7k glimmer and exotic shard and then having to fully level again requiring another exotic shard is to much.
