NO Offense to Warlocks but...
This is NOT a hate post towards the "master race" lol (jk) but I noticed while I was doing Crota on Hard (pause) that the most valuable players were Hunters & Titans.
My Fireteam was lucky enough to have 2 of each class & I noticed Titan's Blessing of Light & Hunter's Invisibility perk were SUPER USEFUL!! I shutter to think what it would've been like if we had 2 MORE Hunter & Titans in place of the 2 Warlocks :/
Again ... NO offense to warlocks cause y'all radiance super does come in handy on other occasions... But in Hard mode lol..
We had a great set up going.. Titans, We knew when to throw our bubbles up at appropriate times (a lot of times saving lives) & the 2 Hunters had sword experience so in case one died the other was our backup.
So in MY opinion the IDEAL Fireteam for Crota's End Hardmode is...
•3 Titans.
•3 Hunters.
I'd love to hear some thoughts on this. :)

EDIT: Agh... I stand corrected. I see Warlocks usefulness is reproducing more orbs for us Titans. My apologies. Thank you fellow Guardians. And my most sincerest apologies to those of you who I offended...
Although you should probably reevaluate something's if you take offense to my opinion on your character in a video game.. That is all lol.

I can say that I agree that Titans are almost a must have in the raid, I am not even sure I have seen a Hard Mode completions with out a Titan. Titans bubbles are so efficient for helping your team take no damage. The Hunters nice for the ability to go invisible thus not being seen by boomers as well as the Blink strike ability so you are guaranteed to get maximum hits in on second down. Warlocks can create orbs unlike any other class, if you have 2 warlocks there's 16 orbs at least before you even leave the crystal room. Self Rez is nice because I have had a Self Rez warlock save a wipe on hard mode before but even so a skilled team no one should die. Last thing with the warlock is its ability to use Song of Flame instead of Self Rez to help your teams ability cool down's. A Warlock using radiance matched up with the Aptheosis Veil Helmet should honestly never die during the Crota fight. In my experience with the Warlock the only time I have died during Ctota on hard is when running Sword or from something else happens which causes a team whipe.

Did the whole raid up to Crota with all warlocks and hunters. I missed the Titans honestly. I noticed how beneficial they could.

Unfortunately I have a lvl 32 warlock.. My least favorite class. Can't seem to get anything goes to drop for my titan. I deleted a hunter to make a 2nd titan and still can't get a helmet or a chest piece to drop

Maybe not so much for Crota himself but being able to res in a crucial part like death singer??? Warlocks are invaluable. This comes from a Titan btw

1 ReplyActually I main a titan and was swordbearer the other night for my team and had a sunsinger go super and stand by the rock under Crota and make orbs. I was able to get a super smash on Crota with every sword. IMO all classes play a valuable role in this raid. Enough with the class bashing already.

I beat it on Tuesday on hard. Our swordbearer was a warlock.

2 hunters w/ sword experience 2 defender titains 2 warlocks one sunsinger for faster grenade and melee and one void for clear areas Is that a good split?

A good sunsinger can produce 16 orbs in the first room

Edited by crimsx0n: 1/30/2015 7:16:12 AMI recommend having a voidwalker (like me) to get loads of orbs, so maybe 3 Hunters 2 Titans 1 warlock. Although the best team is 2 of each class with different subclasses.

I'm pretty sure that my many orbs are what keep the shields coming, the way I see it 2 of every class for the raid is what makes a well oiled machine so let's stop hating on the best class in the game.

6 RepliesYou dont need to be fire spec'd to do well in HM, I go Void to spawn 8-9 orbs off the bat for my team, and continuously do that during the raid... no idea why you think Warlocks are useless. Every class, every spec has an advantage in HM.

i am a warlock, and a hunter... so im good. My warlock is best, and i think radiance is very helpful, but it all matters based on the guns, like if youve got Ghorn or not. I am useful to anyone who needs me. I do anything im told to do, such as take out boomers, ect

5 RepliesWell I generate the orbs to keep the titans going sooooo.... and with obsidian mind the super builds up quickly and there's a shed load more. And on the other side, nova bomb kicks ass. All classes can be good at anything, it's down to the player, if they play well and generate the orbs to keep supers up the team will do well.

shudder* I'm not a Warlock by trade, but I do agree that Warlocks are useful for Orbs. I need to regain health somehow.
