exotic upgrade help
so i just upgraded my universal remote shotgun through xur and im pretty sure nothing happened...
i had not used it much so it wasnt maxed out.
do i need to max out my exotics & fully upgrade them before i upgrade through xur?
im really bummed, i hope i didnt waste my strange coins and my exotic shard...

Edited by BNGHelp4: 1/23/2015 10:07:14 PMNo. Upgrades for Xur are for weapons that cap at 300 or gear that caps at 30 light. If you're weapon had 302 damage, you just bought the V2 upgrade for a V2 weapon. It must also be equipped

Edited by x99jose: 1/23/2015 10:07:11 PMWhen you upgrade a weapon with xur it resets all the progress made and resets the base damage to 302 with a cap of 331, good for pve not so much for pvp. I would only upgrade exotics I'd Wana use in pve, aka red death galahorn suros regime MIDA multi tool. But for pvp weapons like most shot guns, the last word, pocket infinity, I'd just max their upgrades and not worry for the damage upgrade since it doesn't affect crussible. Side note damage does matter on u iron banner, if you have any questions, or I wasn't too clear, feel free to ask away
