I just got Morrowind, and it's a great game. I was walking along, and all of the sudden I couldn't move. At the bottom of the screen it said that I was over-encumbered. How do I get out of this?
Posted by: Ares823 Both have bugs. PC is better because of the mods, but Xbox has some really cool glitches/bugs that you can exploit, like having NPCs follow you permanently, until you reload the file.
The target effect works in PC, too. :) Although, with PC, you can do pretty much anything that the engine will permit with the console.

PM me if anyone wants some bugs that you can exploit for the Xbox MW.
Posted by: amazedsatsuma what the PC version has bugs too, because i don't know my game Froze and it happen to my friends as well with their copies too.
I've never had the game freeze on me, in either Xbox or PC. Well, once or twice in the XBox version. You should always save often in case you're caught off-guard. I learned this harsh lesson in my first encounter with Umbra.

Okay, im about to play it again. Thanks for the advice everyone.

It's the same price as Xbox Game of the Year, and just like Xbox GOTY, includes both expansions. It's a million times better, with mods and the Construction Set. Then again, I have Will Wright syndrome; That is, making levels is more fun than playing them for me.
I would, but my computer is about equal to your average pile of crap.
i think i can smell from here

I'm avoiding Oblivion as much as I can until it comes out. I've been waiting for this since Redguard, I'm not going to spoil it for myself.
Posted by: buffalo wing
Posted by: Texas Ben Yeah... what caused it? Did you just pick up a new Item? Or is this an attribute drain thing?
Those damn bonewalker things got me.
Oh. Than unless you have anything that restores health (spell, potion, item, etc), you're pretty much screwed. if not, drop all of your stuff (Armour and clothes too) and see if you can move.
Posted by: Tanikaze The Bonewalker got rid of your strength? Well, you could at least try to drop all of your stuff and get the hell out of there. Your stuff will be there when and if you return. Mark the spot on your map. Use Divine Intervention or head to the nearest Imperial fort; there ought to be a Divine Cult Altar there. It can restore your attributes for a small fee.
I'll try that in a little bit. (my friend's playing now.)

I've heard a lot of conflicting arguments on whether 0/0 encumberance is over-encumbered or not, and I've never bothered to go check myself. [Edited on 12/31/2004 2:28:39 PM]
