Don't get either, i tried them both and they are trash. If your looking for a versatile all around good performer then pick up Up For Anything. It's all around solid, good range, great stability.
If you're dead set on pulse rifles then the crucible vendor has a very high impact pulse rifle but the draw back is that it's rate of fire is awkwardly slow. I haven't tried it cause -blam!- farming crucible but it might be worth a look.

Definitely the best pulse rifle I've used. The only draw back is reload speed. If it had a reload perk instead of the body shot, it would truly be a monster.
