  • Hitzel, the mindset you mentioned in your second paragraph is the number one reason why I find Halo 3 to be so aggravating. Anyway, when I think about the idea you mentioned in the second half of your post I would have to say that both Halo 1 and Halo 2 follow that idea, Halo 1 with the pistol and Halo 2 with the BR. And it's an awesome idea.

  • Great Update! Thank you for explaining the BR, it alleviated some of my anger. I just hope that when you release the next maps, you'll create a maptype for Cold Storage that doesn't involve the BR at all, so it can be played like it was in Halo:CE. Otherwise, it just won't be quite the same. I know most people will probably veto it because they love the BR, but I'll keep my finger from the blue button...   • I miss Frankie (as "-blam!-" as that may sound, lol). And this map looks nice visually, but doesn't look like too much fun, and don't tell me: "don't judge until you've tried it!". As I was right about all the other maps by merely looking at the pictures. Lets hope that the so called "artists" don't have their merry little way with the Midship remake (if there is one).

  • Oh, if a Bungie rep. mod, dev, or whatever is reading this, I have a question: The textures of Cold Storage look as if they will make it impossible to predict grenade bounces around corners, etc. Can someone confirm for me please that the collision boxes for the walls are flat, and only the visual textures vary so much? Thanks.

  • Chill Out. Awesome. Well, I guess this kinda defeats my whole "Pious Inquisitor gets overrun by the flood and crash lands on Delta Halo thus resulting in a Midship recreation" theory. lol. Good update. Can't wait for next week when we get to learn more about "Smuggler".

  • I'm not at all satisfied with the BR update. The BR is still inconsistent and frustrating to use. Knowing why doesn't stop it from being inconsistent and frustrating to use. In fact, knowing it's random by design makes it worse because now I can blame nothing but the game when I get unfairly out-BR'd. Even if H3 has too many weapons to the point where some weapons are clones of each other (it's like that anyway, so it wouldn't create a new problem), it still creates an environment where you spawn with something that feels powerful, reliable and fun to use without taking away from the effectiveness of all the other weapons. You can still appeal to the casual base that way without frustrating the fans and veteran players. In my strong, yet modest and thought out opinion, Halo 3's weapon sandbox design is flawed.

  • Fond memories of chill out back in the lan days, soon to be Cold Storage. So in this next map pack we'll have CS, Smuggler, Purple Reign...? How about a 4th map for the same price, that would be a nice change of pace. And what happened to the humpdays, did you guys get sick of playing your own game or too busy or what?

  • Wow, Cold Storage... wow! That looks like an awesome map! It's cool how Bungie puts the technical stuff in there, like about the BR, and how the damage works, etc. - I'm sure about half of the people out there don't care about that but I really appreciate them for doing that; thanks Bungie. It's much better than them just saying "The BR in Halo3 is better, just stop whining about it and go play the dam game." lol at the Waaaaaaaaaaaahmbulance... Bungie Day is coming, and I can only hope, that my 360 doesn't die the day before this marvelous occasion! lol - Nice update! I think the overuse of the caps lock and his leaving of an entire game because of a THREAD is enough for me to think he's nothing but a whiny kid. The fact that this weeks update explains in DETAIL one of the most talked about online features of Halo 3 pretty much proves they listen to the community. Oh, that and about a thousand other things like theater videos, Forge maps, screenshots, all of the fan sites that appear in the Blog pretty much every 2-3 days... But if you want to support some angst kid getting way to worked up about something that really isn't that important over Bungie having a little joke about it then fine, go ahead. BAWWWWWWW.   • I can't wait for that new map to come out, also I'm glad you guys finally cleared up the BR thing because I was getting tired of seeing it everywhere, I personally never had a problem with it. That guy at the end, why get so mad over a game? At least Bungie has a great community as opposed to alot of other developers that just make a game and forget about it after they get there paycheck.   • If you look carfully in the tube you can see a flood character thats the tank form probaly a modder might make the flood onto to the map that attack you
