Now before the hate starts, this is more of a PSA. I have a warlock. I enjoy playing as one. However, when I'm playing with other locks during strikes, they never help out orb wise. I don't get it. Almost all locks run Sunsinger with fire born. Why? This isn't a nightfall or raid. Why do you need self res? Afraid of dying and wiping? You have checkpoints.
Sunsingers can make the most orbs out of all the classes and subclasses. You don't even have to kill them with your grenades to make orbs. Help out and actually contribute. If you do strikes will get done much faster. Nobody is doing the strike playlist for fun guys. It's about engram farming and trying your luck at exotics and legendaries.
Maybe stop saving your supers for self res? Fire born isn't going to help you or your teammates. Strikes are very easy to accomplish so wiping shouldn't be an issue.
Be more tactical and courteous.
Edit 1: Once again guys, this isn't a warlock hate post. I don't believe that once race is better than another. It all depends on the user. I love playing as a warlock. It's a lot of fun with my OB+BJJ combo. Currently in leveling my Sunsinger class so I can use my HoPF in the most efficient way.
When I made this post I had the undying mind strike in my head. It's much easier to spam supers than it is to spam your weapons and heavies. Working together to generate orbs for each other will clear that strike out really fast.
Edit 2: Still missing the point are we? I titled it that way so the post would get traction. It isn't a hate post. Nobody's telling you how to play. Just a question and a suggestion people. The method I stated above is simply the most efficient way of doing things as I see it. That's all.
Edit 3: 200+ replies? Nice. Some hate from people who jumped to conclusions and didn't read my post. That's cool. Some really awesome stuff from others. Figured out some good combinations for Sunsinger. Radiant skin + nade city + heavy = orbs. Orbs everywhere.
Edit 4: 300+ a lot of people are agreeing with what I'm talking about. Nice to see people agree. For those who've misunderstood my intentions or don't agree, cool. Hope you're enjoying the game how you play it! For those that do. Supers. Supers everywhere.
Thanks to those who shared!

Regardless of what class I'm on I and almost everyone else I know play ROC strikes for fun, I'm sorry you are incapable of separating your work mentality and your game mentality and can only see games as chores that must be done....but don't drag me or anyone else into your stupidity. And when I'm playing my warlock, I roll with sunsinger fireborn....why? So I can clear rooms in seconds....and if I die in the process? Get back up and clear the room even faster. And at some point I believe you said something about generating orbs for teammates? Well, 9/10 times my teammates suck. They wouldn't know what to do with the orbs I generate. So until there is an option to turn off match making, I'll be treating ROCs like I'm doing them solo.

The same reasons Titans and hunters are.
-
I agree. I've looked at the perks many times but never actually used them. Instead I use fireborn with the ahamkara helmet. Best of both worlds. Oh yeah my raid gloves grants a chance to spawn orbs on percision kills.
-
I set my sunsinger to damage reduction. And walk around "pooping" out orbs left and right. My fireteams love it

Edited by Razor Ramon: 1/16/2015 1:37:39 AMI mostly play on my warlock and i always see this talk about how warlocks are shit yet from my own experience i would say everyone else is shit because im generally the one who is smart enough to get away from heavy damage and stay alive and have to revive my team

SMD U DUMB MUPPET
-
STFU U MUG

For me, would have a warlock that dosent share rather than a titan putting his bubble in my way or a hunter trying to blade dance A strike boss
-
Edited by Chaos EU: 1/15/2015 10:09:25 PMThey're just as useless as your post. Oh and if you're not having fun playing then sell the -blam!-ing game. People do play them for fun it's not a burden.
-
So you are a self admitted attention whore? I read your post and its been done before.
-
Same reason some Titans and Hunters are useless in strikes / raids.
It's the player, not the character!
-
Uhhh because that's their choice and you writing a book about it isint going to change it
-
Because you touch yourself at night.
-
Good point. I am leveling my sunsinger class now and never made the connection. Definitely going to take advantage now and help my teammates. Thanks
-
yo man join my fireteam and i will shower yo fine ass with orbs. orbs everywhere. make a bed out of orbs lol
-
I use sunsinger with fusion grenades when I'm out of ammo on bosses. Does about 2,500 per grenade so I think I deal I decent amount of damage.
-
WTF do you think I am your orb shitting monkey? :) Radiant facepalm at the idea of strikes taking longer. Either your team is good enough to clear faster or it isn't. If it isn't then the fireborn emergency button maybe better suited for your team anyways. Besides why the hell are you worried about clear times with randoms?
-
any warlock who uses sunginer is kinda useless. Voidwalker is the only thing worthwhile.
-
If you have skill, you don't need revive at all. It's a noob-ability.
-
I use Song Of Flame to help my teammates spam grenades. I usually play Voidwalker though. Fireborn is pretty useless, as you just never end up using it at level 26 strikes.
-
I don't get it either. I like to rock obsidian mind and bad juju with void walker during strikes, and if I'm more than 1 level above the raid difficulty I'll do it then too. Dominating the legions part of the templar part is just too good to pass up :)
-
You are at a boss fight, and you have the boss at 2% health. Suddenly your other 2 members of the squad get killed, and then by dumb luck you get killed. That's why warlocks run sun singer.
-
Hey, I'm useless in other parts of the game too.
-
Think of it this way, if you generate orbs, your teammates are able to generate orbs, which will bring your super and revive back rather quickly. Alot of people playing as warlocks just don't seem to understand this.
-
I run it because I prefer to self respect and don't like making orbs
-
I hardly ever use any super, whether on my Voidwalker, Sunsinger, Bladedancer or Gunslinger. Don't know why, I just forget about my super.
