First social experiment of the new year, hope it goes well. I'm trying to get less opinionated, and more open ended with these, let me know if you would like to see a specific topic be covered in the future, or how you like this one. Thank you. ------------------------------------------------- What is humanity's most important concern as of now, and why? -------------------------------------------------- I would like to remind you that I said "most important" and NOT "biggest" or "most tended to". You're answer, whatever it may be, will be in the form of an opinion, and will not be right or wrong. Now, when you answer this, I also wish that you include your point of view. Are you a science major, are you a soldier, are you a doctor, etc.? This makes it easier for me, or an onlooker, to understand where you are coming from, and agree or disagree with your reasoning. Also, issues like hunger, widespread disease, education, etc, would fall under government. These faults can be amended by governments, which is clear to see from the distinction between "first" and "third" world countries. Every time you vote in a poll and don't comment, the Lego fairy covers your floor with Legos that will eventually shred through your feet like a chainsaw would butter. Also, just a quick short example of why I ask for your point of view, I just saw these interesting trio of different answers that help to explain why I ask:

Geopolitics. This is coming from a PoliSci student Can't have nice things when one country is being a dick to everyone.

As per our current societal structure, the only sure-fire way to change the environment or our scientific proficiency, is through government intervention. Therefore the Government should come first. Background: I'm a philosophy graduate.

Science. Government corruption will never be solved. Try and name a single government that is not rotten to the core. Let me add, with increased scientific research humanity will gain better solutions to our problems. The advancements that humanity has taken in the past 200 years can be fully attributed to science. -Stem major
As you can see, an obvious difference in thinking occurs, which is helpful in understanding the reasoning for an answer. • Food for thought^ TL;DW - Our general mindset as a species is the cause of most of our problems. Even if we give it our most valiant and unselfish efforts to create a solution, if the way we're thinking of the solution is wrong, than anything we do to fix our problems will only make them worse.
