Best Scout Rifle Ever?
The Crypt Dweller SR1 is already a great scout rifle but when its mods are re-rolled into this? It is Amazing for both PvP and PvE!

My dream scout rifle died when I started getting legendaries. It was a solid rare gem. Exploding rounds and picks up any ammo it shoots. I'm getting all teary eyed thinking of when I used to sit under the stairs, shooting the archon priest and never having to leave. And if I think about the days of treasure cove and never having to run in for ammo, I'm gonna bawl my eyes out. Those were the days..

2 RepliesMy Another NitC absolutely destroys PvE. It's got firefly, outlaw and with the send it perk is max range. Is basically a sniper!

VoC, B-Line Trauma, Satterienne Rapier, and Ghelon's Demise are likely the top 4 legendary scouts. Mida Multi Tool will be the best (and only) exotic scout rifle around until they finally release the Fate Of All Fools.

15 RepliesBest scout rifle out at the moment would have to be Vision of Confluence from Vault of Glass Raid or the Satarienne Rapier from the Crucible vendor.

1 ReplySaw someone in a roc strike today who had a Bline Trauma with Firefly, explosive rounds and zen moment. I picked up a Rapier from the crucible vendor today. Just have to level it up.

What about Gheleon's Demise? Mine has rodeo, choice of armor, high caliber, or explosive rounds, and firefly. Perfect alternative sniper considering it also has a sharpshooter scope.

I typically do not come across people clustured close enough together for it to be helpful. however i finally got my vision of confluence last night and it feels like it has a higher aim assist than my other scouts. Crypt dweller and crusader 1 feel on the high side as well. My aeries nemesis feels like it has less aim assist but is my go to gun when trying to drop snipers that are camped up. B-line Trauma/mida multi-tool to me are the most fun to run and gun with while the A.1f19X-RYL seems like the most solid to control choke points with. today i'm going to pick up the satrienne rapier (saturday -blam!-r) and "another NITC". stats on the saturday -blam!-r just look to be an improved version of the vision of confluence minus the full auto

5 RepliesIn order to fit into the "Best Scout Rifle Ever" category it MUST have Firefly. All the other perks and stats are debatable, but Firefly is a must.

The other thing is that Firefly and explosive rounds work AGAINST each other. You don't want both. Firefly relies on a critical hit to kill for the target to explode. Explosive rounds take part of the damage and spread it over an area, so it makes it less likely for you to get a critical hit kill. What you want is a perk that makes it more likely you will get a critical hit kill, so either luck in the chamber or final round as the first perk and then send it, armour piercing or high calbre for the middle perk line. My perfect scout would have: Outlaw (for quick reloading) Send It (to maintain good damge over distance) Firefly (enough said). I would also like to have the option of high calibre for when it gets up close and personal.
