Was it avoidable? This of course is an opinion question but given that this is one of your fields of interest, I feel inclined to ask.
Most scholars of the war I've talked to will say of course, and then point to various failings of the Paris Peace Conference and other events as evidence -- but I believe that's fundamentally a hindsight approach based of memory learned later and not necessarily one that conclusively proves inevitability of war.
So in your opinion, could the war be avoided? If so -- and if you desire to elaborate -- what policies could have prevented war?

If all the debt hadn't been pressed on Germany from ww1 I believe it could've been avoided as hurler gained his power from the despair of the people.

If France and Britain actually attacked Germany once they went into Poland I think it would have been over much sooner. There are far too many variables but I think that would have helped. Hitler was intent on living space for the German people to the east (They were slav and inferior in his eyes as well), and France needed to pay for its humiliation of Germany at the Versailles treaty, war was unavoidable unless you take out Hitler...but thats silly to discuss.

The British did believe it would finish with Poland,
