phalanx shield insta-kill
So I know this "glitch" has been around since day one as I remember my wee little 18 hunter seeing one for the first time and dying instantly by one melee, but I was wondering if bungie had ever addressed this. I mean I would very much hope that by the time of the cabal raid they at least say that phalanxes are supposed to be able to do this as it would make the hard raid frustrating as hell.
=>basically has bungie ever addressed the phalanx shield insta-kill melee or is it just a function meant to be in the game from day one?

Phalanx punches send the physics engine into a whack and you end up dying from collision damage, often in entertaining and hilarious ways. Fixing it would be as simple as removing the knock-back from the Phalanx melee. Either it's been overlooked due to triage, or Bungie might just think it's funny and think it might as well be a one-hit anyway. Also keep in mind that since the cause of death is taking collision damage, if your flight path remains unobstructed you can survive by landing safely six miles away.
