Special ammo isn't special in Destiny Crucible matches. Any PvP players will admit that most people use special weapons as primary weapons, when in fact special weapons should be the weapon you use in a sticky situation. Reducing the amount of ammo being dropped will make a huge difference in crucible. This will also encourage people to utilize primary weapon as primary. Make it like heavy ammo where it occasionally drops obviously not as long as heavy ammo. Maybe 3-4 ammo drops per game. This will keep people from relying on special ammo and force them to use their primaries. What do you think?

Thanks for the complaints. Now can they change the name of crucible to "Thorn and Red Death Arena" Crucible has gotten lame half the match you see a people waiting for chests. I miss just running around and shooting shit. The pace of control matches is just jerky and akward now. I bet you also complained about heavy bricks being dropped by players too. I just go hide when heavy drops now. What's the point into walking into a hail of rockets with no reward. And I don't bother getting chests because it's camp city.

Edited by scharkfin: 4/14/2015 6:32:00 AMI beleive they said this in the last weekly thupdate. I may be wrong though. Either way this is a great idea to really help with the shotgun-fest that crucible has become.

In a time of war which the crucible is,handguns are used as sidearms as any man of war will tell you is the last gun you use but I find myself getting two shot buy them all the time my reaction to this so called primary is shotgun, you should try dodging bullets to get close enough,to use it it really is fun. But now I fear the handgun is next to get nerfed we will soon be throwing rocks if we don't stop this now,let us kill with what we want to. Not fun to kill from so far away and I'm not that good with any gun really I just want to play the way I want to not the way I have to. We need to stop this now( no more nerfs ) your gun might be next. With love for the people,,,

I think all ammo should be removed from crucible. I think all guns should be removed from crucible. We should all just run around the map harmlessly bumping into each other and the player with the most harmless bumps at the end gets a gjallahorn.

Number of Thorns and Universal Remotes will now increase dramatically...

Thanks Bungie for addressing this issue, really appreciate it.

https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/109917662/0/0 I didn't see this thread before making this one but I wholeheartedly agree.

Absolutely

I absolutely agree with this. Almost everybody in pvp runs around using a special weapon the whole match. I would like to see people actually use primary weapons and a PRIMARY for once.
-
In the most recent update they said they are taking a look at ammo crates for pvp, and I hope it is to reduce special ammo. Shotgun/fusion abuse + Final round sniper abuse has taken its toll, it's time for a change
-
Special weapons are for close range (besides snipers). I use my primary (scout rifle) when the enemy is far away.
-
Meh. I think people just need to adjust. Each gun has an ideal use. If you're getting killed by these weapons too much then try something else.
-
This would be perfect.
-
That doesn't make any sense. Then you're just stuck with a primary weapon that may be crap up close or far away. You're going to have people swapping loadouts more in the middle of a match. And it still doesn't fix SUROS.
-
This is the easiest way to fix PvP without needlessly nerfing weapons. Exactly why the tards and Bungie will probably never get around to it.
-
This....... ...best way to solve the complaints about shotguns and fusion rifles minus the primary guns. I think that's fine if people want to run Universal Remote, Vex, and Invective even more after the fact that would still lower usage rates of shotguns/fusions in PvP. As it is most popular shotguns in PvP (at least from what ive seen on PS3) are Found Verdict, Invective, and Invisble Hand and fusion rifles Murmur, Vex.

Invective

No because there is only one primary shotgun and that universal remote and not everyone has that
