The holidays are over and you know what that means... My break is over too. Unfortunately for me it seems there's been a lot of activity this Christmas. There's a lot to cover over these past weeks so tuck yourself in for the night because you might be here a while. [b]This Week in Holidays[/b]: A lot of talk during this holiday break hovered around [i]Lizard Squad[/i]. A ragtag band of teenagers determined to make a name for themselves by turning off our games for a day. My recommendation for next year is think of a better name then a bunch of baby dragons. That's just no fun. [i]Ingloriouswho98[/i] decided he'd make this year's [i]Xmas[/i] an [i]XXXmas[/i]. Everywhere you look you'd find a little picture or .gif posted by our good ole friend Who. Unfortunately, these days were to spent with family and no doubt of you opened the image your family was not very happy. [b]This Week in Takeovers[/b]: In an interesting turn of events [i]FaZe[/i] seemed to find itself incorporated into many usernames this week and with [i]FaZe[/i] came [i]Optic[/i]. Those people that want to be different from the current fad chose [i]Optic[/i] over the popular [i]FaZe[/i] and the war raged on. While this fad died out quickly something else caught the attention of many... Our resident troll [i]Longface[/i] announced to the forum that his birthday was January 3rd and that the perfect present this birthday would be for everyone to change their username to his or some derelict form of it. While the day has gone and past you can still see the effects of [i]Longface's[/i] post across Offtopic. [b]This Week in Plot-Twist[/b]: Perhaps one of the most surprising things to happen this year was the revelation that [i]Anonymous Entit[/i]y is in fact, a grill. (Even though it was January 1st) Thats right, the low melodious hum that you keep hearing belongs to a woman. I think the next time we'll be this confused is April 1st. [b]This Week in Parodies[/b]: A short spout of little parodies concerning "likes" and plethora of possible goals popped up this week. The basic format of the post consisted of gaining likes on the post to achieve a specified goal. The original post by [i]SoulzZ[/i] [u]My gf said if this post gets 5000 likes she'll let me take away her virginity[/u] started the whole bout of parodies. [b]This Week in Roleplay[/b]: [i]xJediRevanx[/i] made a Roleplay this New Year's and it seems everyone's had a little itch for some Roleplay lately because his thread is sitting at 6000+ replies at the moment and going strong. The Roleplay is based around a hotel and all shenanigans can evolve from there. [b]This Week in Religion[/b]: Of course when the holidays come around it is inevitable for religion to become a hot topic. This pins the atheists and theists at each other for a never ending argument in which neither side can win and neither side can lose. Scripture was spread and attacks from atheists were inevitable. Fun times these holidays, fun times... [b]This Week in Sing-a-longs[/b]: User [i]Griizly Bear[/i] posted a thread consisting of the first two lyrics of a popular well-known song and the rest of the song was sung out in the reply section. Garnering a thousand plus replies in no time it seemed every hour another hit Bit the Dust... (Hint hint?) [b]This Week in Honorable Mentions[/b]: [i]Sydney[/i] sits close on the edge of 1000 replies in the Selfie Thread and continues to gain more replies as the thirst of the Flood grows stronger. The recent drought may have brought upon this newfound thirst. [i]Little Sparrow[/i] seems to gaining a lot of popularity this week. Negative and positive the combination of attention has culminated into many threads and parodies rotating around this user. We'll see how this situation evolves into the future.
