Did the historical Jesus exist?
I want reasons people. We beg the question, whether one can rationalize a human of such popularity for his time and craft and find fault in the task of determining the unique distinction between other such god men.

Edited by Jeff: 1/4/2015 3:40:56 AMI believe that Jesus existed because it is not reasonable to think the Jews would create a hero that was crucified. Their holy book told them that the coming messiah was going to be a king like David and a new world was going to be created with this messiah ruling from Jerusalem. None of their holy scriptures mentioned that he would be killed by his enemies and later raise from the dead. Also there are many independent sources in the Bible that contest that Jesus existed including Paul who wrote about 17 years after Jesus' death. (The writers of Mark, Luke, Matthew, John, the Q Source, the Signs Source, all have independent sources). The Talpiot Tomb along with the James Ossuary can be seen 'proving' with almost 100% certainty that Jesus existed.
