The ghost is not your menu. Ever done the Chamber of Night mission and as the first or second cracks are being scanned you can still summon your sparrow? He isn't a part of us. He's merely a scanning tool as well as our guide for narration. As for Rahool, you would probably have 90% of the player base go after him. The online community is the majority of the 10% who wouldn't. Please also note, I'm being very generous with the 10% calculation.

No you're not. I dont know a single person that would miss him. The ghost is supposed to be our menu. Call sparrow, go to orbit, navigation mode, chat chanels, flashlight, trip alarms and slowly open doors are all ghost functions. Bungie doesnt always program correctly like how you can pick up a mission while you're reloading a gun.

What part hasnt been confirmed? The omnigul strike has bungie joking about how the ghosts are there to open doors. I dont know if thats what youre refering to but i did forget that the only reason you can respawn at all is because of your ghost so if you die without a ghost youre dead for good.

Your assuming about the Ghost role. You specifically highlighted half a dozen cosmetic appearances for the ghost, but truthfully? Our ghost is a spiritual cortana from halo. The ghost is not necessary for any functionality because bungie themselves have never revealed just how far a ghosts usefulness will be or has been.

Yes they have but you have to pay attention to the rather weak story and read the grimoire. It specifically states what the ghost can do like bringing us back from the dead but throughout the entire story you are presented with gusrdians who cannot return from death because the light of their ghost was taken. Kabar being the most famous but there is also the guardian who fell at the temple of crota. Beyond that the game gives you specific instructions about your ghost menu and even deej himself called it that when he was explaining thfe new chat options. The game calls the ghost menu navigation mode and im sure you've noticed that its your flashlight.

Secondly, deej has never spoken about the functionality of our ghosts in any public setting besides him being our companion. We don't know if it is the Light we carry with us which spawns the reanimation process or if the ghost itself is an additional component to that process. At this point too, we may never know. Secondly, ALLLL things can change. Just because ideas in the future aren't being implemented now has NEVER been an indicator for what will occur later. This thread is about exploring the possibilities of fun and challenges, not a debate on what you and I know to be truthful. If you want to discuss that, then do so, but as of right now I'm just going to say I see this as off topic. Feel free to read the part where deej says " as always you access your navigation mode menu by deploying your ghost." You're honestly just being pig headed. You're twisting the very obvious implementations in the game to suit your argument. I get that you dont want to be wrong about the functions of the ghost but i think you're reading too much into it. The traveler fills the ghost with light and they use that light in various ways. Thats why people revive you at your ghost and not your body which can both be seen on screen as two separate entities.

The ghost TRANSFERS the travelers light into us. From there, it is up to us to do with it what we will. Right now, we don't know what that is. Does the Ghost play a key part? We don't know. Can it be used in the future to say that our ghost transfer of light was meant to revive us because we didn't have light armor on? Very much so. Again, the ghost is a mystery. You don't know what it is capable of. For all we know, the ghost only helps stabilize us. What if, Bungie on their own, introduces a 30 second timer TO BE REVIVED without our ghost? The ghost is then revealed to be exactly what I said it to be: Not necessary for our revival.
