Fallen v.s. Hive v.s. Vex v.s. Cabal
What group would win? Took the idea from - ghost59 - post. But his poll was Fallen, Vex, and Cabal v.s. Hive. Credit for the idea of this post goes entirely to -ghost59 - enjoy! :)
Fallen have good weapons/technology
Hive have strength in numbers
Vex can space/time travel
Cabal have massive shields/defense
I personally chose the Vex. Due to their ability to space/time travel.

For fight an all out battle probably vex, but as for surviving pirod, Fallen, they know how to use broken technology, and scavenge.

15 RepliesThe Fallen are scavengers, the Hive are an infestation, and the Vex are like a virus. The Cabal are militaristic and are the only species mentioned to have the ability to "blow up planets." I think the Cabal would win. Sure, the Vex have an omnipresent being (apparently imprisoned in the Vault of Glass) and the Hive have gods (apparently imprisoned in the Hellmouth), but both Atheon and Crota were "destroyed" by Guardians using conventional weaponry -- I don't think either of them would be able to survive having the Moon or Venus completely destroyed. The only reason the Cabal are having trouble with the Vex (and I use that word lightly, as the Cabal seem to have a firm grip on Mars) is because they don't wish to destroy Mars, but instead mine through the knowledge and technology left behind by the Humans.

What I see happening (if guardians didn't get in the way) is the cabal winning over Mars, the vex time travel a pocket of its military, rebuilding, and then going back to fight the cabal again. I see the vex as a never ending supply of enemies, but not necessarily the strongest. Upon pushing the vex back, and exterminating their time gates, the cabal could definitely take Mars.

Edited by Trooper8059: 3/18/2015 10:54:00 PMThe Fallen are a broken civilization running on scraps, they would easily be destroyed by swarms of any one else, though their leadership is superb, the idea of Multiple Houses ruins their potential to be a threat as they are tied up in a civil war. The Fallen if united could pose a threat, but internal conflict and poor resources hinder them. The Hive have the advantage in numbers, however their lack of intelligence and absolute devotion to their gods is what truly brings them down. If under the rule of a strong leader, the Fallen could easily take over a planet in days, but instead they insist on the worship and revival of Crota and Oryx, taking away from the goal of conquest. The Vex are probably the best suited to win this battle, their creator and date of creation is unknown, but they are all connected to one mind, thus allowing them to work decisions easily with no argument. Their travels through time enable them the benefit of knowlege, yet their worship of the heart of the Black Garden brings down their overall strength, stationing Vex to an eternal sleep. This is what makes Atheon a formidable foe, he does not rely on the Heart, but on all his options. Not much is know about the Vex, but they could be mass produced someplace, or in some time. The Cabal are the most civilized of the bunch, and are what the Fallen may have been originally, a civilization based upon military force and leadership. However their speed and reliance on the black ooze hinders them compared to the Fallen. They are relying heavily on staying on the defensive unless they have the advantage in numbers. The Cabal leadership method at the moment is unknown, as well as their intentions and possible gods.

You should specify that it is in battle and no "time travel" or other obscene powers aloud lol. I would say a stalemate because they all have strengths and weaknesses. Depends on where the battle is.

Edited by HkWon01: 3/18/2015 10:23:42 PMIll go with the vex because of the movie "the edge of tomorrow" in which and an enemy that can manipulate time can pretty much decide the outcome of every battle and the enemy that can decide outcome of every battle can't lose. Plus the teleportation ability enable the vex to attack directly to command positions bypassing all the enemies defensive positions. Also they can turn a planet into a machine in days where as the hive would take years the amass an army. The cabal can blow up planets so the hive have trouble there. The fallen my be stealthy and can teleport a little bit on the field but they don't have the numbers of the hive or the size and strength or the fire power of the cabal.

The vex are the only ones we have seen their full potential. Yes they can manipulate time, but only within the vault of glass. They cannot manifest this power outside the vault. The fallen are the remnants of a powerful society destroyed by the darkness. They are resourceful survivors and very formidable when the houses are united. A lot of the fallen leadership has fallen to guardians and the fallen. The hive potential lies in numbers and dark magic. We have only seen a small portion of the hive army and leadership. The hive has much more to bring to the table. The cabal force is a small legion . There is a vastly more powerful army and weapons where the cabal originate from. Cabal have the only military force comparable to human militaries at their peak. Cabal weapons and military strategy exceed the other alien races . We do not yet know the full capabilities of the cabal. Because of the reserve forces of the cabal and hive they are the strongest of the alien races.

The cabal would dominant anything and everything I don't get why we didn't see more of them. The have the most expansive armory out there. They have a gun that blows up stars!!!!

1 ReplyBased on what I've witnessed in the game (by just sitting and letting the enemy kill each other: Hive lose to fallen (3rd wave in Sepkis strike) Fallen lose to vex (a few places during the Archon Priest strike) Therefore we [i]assume[/i] vex beat hive Cabal lose to vex (various areas on Mars) Vex are the winners

They have: - heavy weapons: hydra and minotaurs - ranged weapons: hobgob - best coordination: one mind ruling all - space time travel = instant army whenever they need help for an invasion. - they are basically the only ones that can cover their soft spot so they don't get one shot after being noticed by the enemy. Pretty -blam!-ed up enemy!

Its obvious that the vex hold supreme against everyone else they not only have unmatched intelligence but they also exists in both past and future making thier defeat seem almost impossible. They are worse than bed bugs. Also they have incredible power with the manipulation of time although it is limited to the vault. It still is very dangerous.

But cabal explode anything that gets in their way. They could accidently tap a planet made of all diamond and say "BOMB DE SHIT OUTA IT"
