10000 likes to petition an Equal Quality Trade System.

Exotic for exotic, legendary for legendary, ascendant for ascendant, etc. okay bungie? You want us to grind. FINE! Go add a broker/vendor in tower that charges a glimmer commission fee depending on the quality of the item. All traded weapons or armor progress will reset. And trade vouchers will only drop rarely and randomly. (Praise RNG-sus!) Only one item can be traded per voucher from both parties. For those of you who don't know what a voucher is, it is a pass that allows you to redeem a transaction Let me emphasize "rare" because a lot of people still don't understand this concept and insist that people will exploit this system. It would be a waste of your time to invest in playing destiny for an opportunity to get a trading voucher let alone a gallarhorn if you ever get one, just to sell it. Edit* addressing some concerns. People with inadequate arguments please refrain from commenting. Unless you've read AND comprehend this entire message More info here if you want to read that addresses haterz addressing real world trading.
Would it be fair if I have two gallahorns and want to give my friend one? I feel it is, Especially when the trade vouchers would drop as exclusively as an exotic bounty. To limit exploitation, add in a bunch of factors that would make trading a pain in the ass; that the only way you could do it is for BOTH parties to have a voucher, Have a ton of glimmer. Basically you could only trade once in a blue moon and the opportunity would only present itself to the most dedicated players. As for the real world currency for a gallahorn. Any one who seriously plays the game long enough for a gallahorn to drop is not likely to want to get rid of it for actual money. Especially when trading vouchers themselves are as scarce as an exotic. Maybe more scarce. Also, I have two gallarhorns and it is ridiculous that some people who play longer than i and still dont; And I can't just give it away to one of my friends for say his... hard light? With the amount of time I've invested into the game I would not throw away an opportunity ( to trade my Gjallarhorn for say another exotic I really want) for real world currency. Not a likely senario, I'm sure it could happen though. For an large amount of money. But people aren't likely to pay a high value for a gallahorn with the chance that xur will have it the next week. Also there are millions of people playing this game that have gallarhorn. How high could the price even get?
Idk... let's hear some creative regulating to prevent real world trading.

  • Wouldn't stop people from selling exotics if anything it would just make them more expensive.

Better system: > Trading is unlocked between two people once they have played x amount of hours together (I'm thinking in the hundreds - people that have stuck around) > Trading is only available between clan members > Trading can only be done one item per day > Trading can either be like for like, or cost x amount of materials + glimmer to perform (either for both parties, or just the recipient if gifting) This will counter all real money systems that people might try to implement, and will ensure that trading can only happen between people that have played together and formed cosy little guardian bonds.

Bungie already confirmed they dont respond to petitions because all it is, is a bunch of whiney little b**ches. Actualy they said they dont respond to them because they dont feel being forced into doing something just because a crowd of people think they know whats best by trying to force the developers into changing things helps. But my version sounds cooler.

    • Im for trading, I do grind a lot the game and for example a friend got this week his 6th Word of Crota while I've gotten my 2nd fang, why can't we trade this weapons we clearly don't need ? Also to the people saying everyone would be a 32 and there be no incentive...well think about this most people are stuck in the forever 31 (29 before and next expansion will be 33) because of bad luck and also because of this cant join the HARD raid (because a lot of people won't accept a 31 on their fireteam)...and new guys coming in that have to play catch up with the people that have had the game since the beginning...trading enables people to enjoy the post game content better and with everyone.

    • or you can do trade up contracts like CSGO ex. trade in 10 legendaries/rares of a certain weapon/armor class for an exotic of the same armor/weapon slot

    • Open trades like this, even regulated with restrictions, will open it up to real world trading for money. While it would likely not affect me, companies are typically against this so not likely to happen. Rather I think it's fair to have a fireteam trade option at the summary screen. Playing with a friend that wants hard light and it drops for me, I'd gladly trade it for his 10 energies. Doesn't break RNG and no way to do a real world money trade for a random player looking for a certain weapon.

    • This is a great idea, very rare trading would improve the game for thousands of folk imo. i personally could not give a fuk if some twat wants to pay 45 euros he stole from his mums credit card for a jellyhorn, cerrainly wont break the game for me as i will never meet these twats so im thinking, big deal whats the fukin problem here but hey, for those who are butthurt about this then at least a very rare ticket and equal value glimmer/item would stop the abuse. Jeez with the constant nerfing or weapon tuning going on, you would be a fool to pay real dosh for a gun anyway ffs .....just my 2p

      • Though this is a good idea, this would also kill "the grind" that keeps a lot of players playing. What should of been hours/weekly resets trying to get raid gear/exotics turning into a farming for vouchers. This would also turn into use and abuse. You will see "selling x item for x dollars. Paypal only." Look at Diablo 3 before they added "soul bound" items. You could just give your friend all of the gear they would need and take away hours of "farming." I understand farming becomes more of a chore after awhile, but it is what the game is intending you to do to keep you playing. If Destiny allows trading, I would like to see the raid gear/ exotics have the "soul bound" system tag on. This would allow for some of the better legendaries to be traded, but also allow the best/raid/ect ect gear to be looted. (for the gear that is soul bound, if you dismantle it, it could have a higher chance to award a "trade voucher") I would be bored as hell if I hit max level and someone gave me all the guns/gear I would ever need. What would I do? I legit just took out most of the games playtime. "Then just don't take all the guns?" People will still take the guns and then complain that there is nothing to do. It is just who we are.

      • Yes. I still don't have a fatebringer. Only Crota weapons I have is light of the abyss(5) abyss defiant(3) and WoC(1) no black hammer or anything. So I'd also ask that raid weapons and armor be in their own category.

I used to want trading so bad. People would have every gun in a few months, even with one trade per online account a week. Since trade vouchers are random, that just defeats the purpose of trading, if only a selected few can even trade. It should be everyone, or nobody. Random trading would create an uproar among the community. Secondly, people can still exchange vouchers, trade their exotics, and them charge cash in real life (I'm sure some would buy). Also, there just isn't enough content whatsoever to allow a trading system in Destiny. Most day 1 players already have most of the top tier weapons, and most exotics as well. Since raid weapons and raid armor would clearly be off of the trading list (I.e incentive to raid still) that leaves even less to trade. I can see trading if we had 100 exotics (100 different weapons and 25 of each armor slot) There's no real point to trade for just legendaries, when they will be obsolete in a few dlcs down the road. This isn't an mmo (I.e massively multiplayer online) we have a max of 16 players in the Tower. Trading will never come most likely.
