Exotic for exotic, legendary for legendary, ascendant for ascendant, etc.
okay bungie?
You want us to grind.
FINE!
Go add a broker/vendor in tower that charges a glimmer commission fee depending on the quality of the item.
All traded weapons or armor progress will reset.
And trade vouchers will only drop rarely and randomly. (Praise RNG-sus!)
Only one item can be traded per voucher from both parties.
For those of you who don't know what a voucher is, it is a pass that allows you to redeem a transaction
Let me emphasize "rare" because a lot of people still don't understand this concept and insist that people will exploit this system.
It would be a waste of your time to invest in playing destiny for an opportunity to get a trading voucher let alone a gallarhorn if you ever get one, just to sell it.
Would it be fair if I have two gallahorns and want to give my friend one? I feel it is, Especially when the trade vouchers would drop as exclusively as an exotic bounty. To limit exploitation, add in a bunch of factors that would make trading a pain in the ass; that the only way you could do it is for BOTH parties to have a voucher, Have a ton of glimmer. Basically you could only trade once in a blue moon and the opportunity would only present itself to the most dedicated players.
As for the real world currency for a gallahorn. Any one who seriously plays the game long enough for a gallahorn to drop is not likely to want to get rid of it for actual money. Especially when trading vouchers themselves are as scarce as an exotic. Maybe more scarce.
Also, I have two gallarhorns and it is ridiculous that some people who play longer than i and still dont; And I can't just give it away to one of my friends for say his... hard light? With the amount of time I've invested into the game I would not throw away an opportunity ( to trade my Gjallarhorn for say another exotic I really want) for real world currency. Not a likely senario, I'm sure it could happen though. For an large amount of money.
But people aren't likely to pay a high value for a gallahorn with the chance that xur will have it the next week. Also there are millions of people playing this game that have gallarhorn. How high could the price even get?
Idk... let's hear some creative regulating to prevent real world trading.

I fell like at least for now, until there are more available that exotics should lock to your account and only legendary item should be tradable. I do like the idea of a trade option at the reward screen though, I don't think either of these options would be game breaking.

I would limit it to, one trade a week, based on reset.
-
No. Just no. Stop it
-
I've said it before. Players in a fireteam during a loot drop can trade items from that loot drop. Just got your 5th word of crota? Change it with your buddy that just got his 5th fang of ir yut. It can only happen between players who are in a fireteam and for a limited amount of time after (must be during the rewards screen).
-
it'll never happen because it's Bungie but u got my vote
-
I'm puzzled as how idiots are coming to the conclusion that with trading everyone will have every exotic. If you TRADE you give one thing for another
-
If they do it, they won't do it because of a petition. They know the community wants it already, petitions will do nothing, just saying.
-
If they let trading it should be at the end of a checkpoint of a raid and only the items rewarded can be traded
-
So many disassembled last words... All I wanted was husk, Ghorn, or ice... Sure I'll sign on

More ideas.

Trading is useless i this game because everyone can get the weapon your are looking for. There is not a lot of option. The solution would be adding a vendor that will sell all the gun available in the DB for a cost. Right now we have vendor that rotate their store each expansion, and we won't be able to get the 1.0 weapon upgraded. At least if XUR could sell primary weapon engrem, etc at least we could end up with better chance to get something. He could also sell legendary engram. Right now, some weapon (a minority) are OP and other a pure trash.

One of the reasons why I stopped playing is the lack of trading. There's moments I (or someone I'm playing with) get a weapon we don't want, and someone else does; so we're stuck with breaking it down or collecting dust "hoping" for some update that will at least make said item worth testing out. I hate hearing the arguments against trading, yet these are the same people who will play another game with trading, and praise it to all end; yet Destiny gets a free pass of no trading because of some BS Activision/Bungie started. The idea that some argue against trading is either reverse psychology, or just that lucky when it comes to what they are looking for. "Go earn it!" a lot of you say that now, then after a while when others get what you want and you're stuck with garbage you will start to voice your opinions then.

Yes Please!

Trading would be horrible for this game. Everyone would have everything. Lame. Tap your heels three times...and go back to Africa.
