10000 likes to petition an Equal Quality Trade System.

Exotic for exotic, legendary for legendary, ascendant for ascendant, etc. okay bungie? You want us to grind. FINE! Go add a broker/vendor in tower that charges a glimmer commission fee depending on the quality of the item. All traded weapons or armor progress will reset. And trade vouchers will only drop rarely and randomly. (Praise RNG-sus!) Only one item can be traded per voucher from both parties. For those of you who don't know what a voucher is, it is a pass that allows you to redeem a transaction Let me emphasize "rare" because a lot of people still don't understand this concept and insist that people will exploit this system. It would be a waste of your time to invest in playing destiny for an opportunity to get a trading voucher let alone a gallarhorn if you ever get one, just to sell it. Edit* addressing some concerns. People with inadequate arguments please refrain from commenting. Unless you've read AND comprehend this entire message More info here if you want to read that addresses haterz addressing real world trading.
Would it be fair if I have two gallahorns and want to give my friend one? I feel it is, Especially when the trade vouchers would drop as exclusively as an exotic bounty. To limit exploitation, add in a bunch of factors that would make trading a pain in the ass; that the only way you could do it is for BOTH parties to have a voucher, Have a ton of glimmer. Basically you could only trade once in a blue moon and the opportunity would only present itself to the most dedicated players. As for the real world currency for a gallahorn. Any one who seriously plays the game long enough for a gallahorn to drop is not likely to want to get rid of it for actual money. Especially when trading vouchers themselves are as scarce as an exotic. Maybe more scarce. Also, I have two gallarhorns and it is ridiculous that some people who play longer than i and still dont; And I can't just give it away to one of my friends for say his... hard light? With the amount of time I've invested into the game I would not throw away an opportunity ( to trade my Gjallarhorn for say another exotic I really want) for real world currency. Not a likely senario, I'm sure it could happen though. For an large amount of money. But people aren't likely to pay a high value for a gallahorn with the chance that xur will have it the next week. Also there are millions of people playing this game that have gallarhorn. How high could the price even get?
Idk... let's hear some creative regulating to prevent real world trading.

  • Trading items and implementing a system to keep weapons rare is simple depending on how you do it. Bungie could easily do something like this.. Players only 30 and above may initiate trading. Players may only trade once a week, or at least with a set amount of players per week. Players, like with xur, must trade either coins or mote for said transaction. So you're still working for it in a sense I don't think that would break the game. But It's terribly sad when my friend gets all my guns with amazing perk rolls and doesn't use them or breaks them down...like wtf!? Plenty have multiples , trading in this sense would be a good start.

  • Trading would be great for this game...if it had more content and wasn't a grindfest...

  • Because 2 things would occur: 1. The forums and other areas, even tower messages, would be flooded with WTB or WTS *Insert Item here* 2. Beggar n00bs who have a single garbage exotic and want you to trade your awesome weapons Example: Begger has *No Land Beyond* and sees you have a *Gjallarhorn* and proceeds to annoy you to trade him because he needs it

  • There isn't enough content for trading, that is the only reason we don't have it. If we did, it would cut playtimes in half, because everyone would get what they actually want, rather than what RNG dictates. People complain about the RNG and lack of trading, but they don't understand that Destiny needs those elements to keep people grinding that one exotic they want. Think about it, what other "MMO" do you know that had less than 30 top tier weapons? or only two sets of gear that let you reach max level?

    • If I got a voucher as a nightfall award I would rage! I have no desire to trade any of my exotics. Xur sells armor and with the engrams it's easy after a while to get every piece of exotic armor. This comes down to players wanting a gjallarhorn. Money will start being involved and no way to stop it. Careful what you guys ask for. Bungie will give you what you want. A trading voucher that both parties will need for $19.99 each.

    • So a level 24 who finished the invective bounty which is really easy to do can trade it with a level 32 who has 5 ghorns? That would break the game

          • Bad idea, it would be to easy to get the gear you want with a trading system. The ENTIRE point of games like destiny is to play raids, strikes, and missions to get what you want, NOT to get what your missing or want then go do raids, strikes and missions. Trading would make the entire game pointless.

              • I really couldn't care less about player trading, but what I would like to see that would actually benefit the game is a vendor trading option, to be able to trade useless things such as ascendant shards for Glimmer or materials like helium, spin metal, spirt bloom, or relic iron.

              • I think an auction system would be more beneficial. 1 player has something you want, and you can compete with other players by betting your glimmer, weapons, materials, etc. For that item.

Nope it'll ruin the game. Maybe a heavily managed by Bungie auction house but only that.

              • Trading should only be available in the post-game loot screen. Let's say a fireteam goes into nightfall and at the end a titan is rewarded with an item that the Warlock wants and the titan doesn't need/already has. The Warlock wasn't awarded this item, yet. They helped and did just as much work to obtain the item ans anyone else on the fireteam. If anything the Warlock is part of the reason that the titan earned It. Now, If the titan could just give this item to the Warlock he played with, then the Warlock would be happy and his titan friend would be glad to give the item to someone who actually needed it. The Warlock was in the nightfall. They earned it. It was just awarded to another person. Trading should certainly not be open. There are too many issues that can come Into play with an open Trading system. However, this simple addition of being able to trade post-game loot with those that completed the mission with you will help to make sure more players receive the items they want, and will make the current loot system a bit more bearable, without adding in all of the problems of a full game economy.
