Why the crucible is broken, In terms of rewards

There should be more RNG, if at all possible

RNG Is good for crucible! Random rewards are fair!

More skill deserves more reward.... Right?

So, there I am. Firebase Delphi, control. Cool right? Changed to my Arma for the two grenades (striker titan obviously;)) and equip my fresh as -blam!- Mytho that was given to me yesterday (I've got it to the last damage upgrade) and duely equiped my Found verdict. So i had an amazing game to say the least, led my team of scrubs to victory single handed. Not to leave their efforts in the dust, but getting just under 10,000 score is a feat in itself, as I've gotten half the score versus the other 5 team mates. Now, this is irregular for me, because my usual games as of the last month or so consist of good 4-7K scores and 2+ K.D's, but this was good for me. Now, as far as rewards go. I'll let the photo speak for itself. The issue with all of this, is some scrub on the other team managed to pick himself up a Red Death Exotic pulse Rifle. Funny that, the same person who got 2K score on the losing team, got a reward, and it was so bold as to be an exotic. The red death itself is a mediocre exotic at best, but the point stands that RNG in crucible doesn't seem all too fair. Now, before you cry and tell me to man up or stop moaning, my reply? Shut up, please. I'd say by now, 90% would agree that RNG isn't really fair in circumstances where its evident one has lead the team to receive nothing, while a low ranking, noob manages to scrub himself an exotic. Now, i understand some may have the argument that it helps worse players get exotics e.c.t. Thats an idiotic way to reward loot, you shouldn't be given what is meant to be one of the best weapons in the game to someone because they are crap enough to score below a certain amount to qualify for some sort of crap player benefits system. Seems incredibly flawed, at best. In conclusion, I'm not stating that because i kicked the other teams ass, i deserve an exotic. This would also to apply to anyone else who does the same; as that would be silly to receive what is the best class of item in the game because you had a single good game. I'm simply providing an opinion that someone who earns the right to claim a reward should be, especially over that of a lowly scrub scoring a mere 20% of the MVP who led their team to victory. The saying stands, Nothing in life is free. Darn you RNG. (Provide your opinions below on whether or not you think crucible rewards should be less RNG, and more MVP's get rewarded slightly more than their scrubby counterparts) *EDIT- (The photo is bad quality, yes. The person on my team was not the one to receive the Red Death, he just happened to get a crappy Rare Auto rifle, looks similar as the bad quality) *EDIT 2- (Can we like the post, get more people seeing it, its always good to get loads of opinions! Its what a forum is for!)

 • I actually think the RNG is a good way to reward players, and bring new players more up to speed with the hardcore ones. Saying this from both perspectives, as I have been both on the 3-worst, and the 3-best players on my team. That being said, I think the loot cache of PvP should be upped, meaning that the RNG should work in favor of those players playing a lot of crucible. Something like this: 1st game: Exotic loot chance 0,5%. 10th game: Exotic loot chance 5,0%. 100th game: Exotic loot chance 50%. 120th game: Exotic loot chance 65% (Max). (Chance of success are theoretical to say the best, but you get the gist.) Having a maximum lootchance of somewhat around 50% will still make exotics a rare and much recieved item, without making them "a sure drop", meaning that some players will play 1 game and get them while some players will have to play 70+ games. When the player has recieved his/hers Exotic loot, the chance of success resets. This way, the random loot chance is consitant, meaning that even the littleguys can get the drop, but the chance increases for the players playing consistantly. This is not far off todays system, but makes it more tolarable. We still don't want players just going to 120 crucible matches and not do anything but run around like scared little sheep, because this will guarantie them an exotic, that's why you can never have a 100% dropchance. There are two benefits of this. Rewarding the better player for sticking to crucible, and giving the lesser players a reason to get better. If the newbie has played 100 games of Cricible, he will be better then when he started anyways, and maybe drag him-/herself out of the bottom three slots. I have been just in the RNG battle that has been going on in Destiny, even tho I have not recieved an Exotic in two months, and that is by doing the Nighfalls, Crucible playlists and raids activly. I hold more then 6h/d average gameplay in Destiny, to both my girlfriend's and friends frustration. I don't mind people playing less getting better loot, I'm just opposed to the fact that gamers that put in a lot of effort are feeling left out and unrewarded. This translates to PvE as well, as I have yet to get most of the VoG weapons, still missing the helmet and the Mytho, and have recieved the ship 9 times now. I'm positive this is not a one time thing, and if it has happened to me, there are at least 10.000 players out there frustrating over the same thing, some that have played even more then I have. So I say that they should increase the chance of drops based on the actual amount of effort put into it. And I mean effort, not staying in orbit for a couple of hours every day, but increase chance with each crucible match, each raid, each strike, then reset the dropchance when the item is recieved. This can also be applied to duplicates, meaning that there can be a calculator saying today you recieved item no. 1, the chance to recieve item no. 1 again is now 0%, after 10 days it is back to 80% for that particular item. You can use the same calculations throughout the entire game, to make small improvements to the gameplay for everyone. The entire game seems off balance and has been this way since launch. Both Bungie and Activision know that their loyal base will not stop playing no matter what, that is the reason why we all feel a bit screwed over by the base game and the DLC, and yet continiue to play. I don't think this post, or the OP's post will make a difference, just look at the amount of posts made on this topic alone, but as with everything, lets speak up for those that feel left out, and cross our fingers that someone eventually will listen.
