  • I have found that most of the weasel errors occur due to local networking issues. From what you describe, it sounds like your connection is having a hard time with heavy traffic caused by the communication between you and the other 11 players. If I'm right, I'll bet you have the same problem during heavy PvE battles with lots of enemies. If you are connected via WiFi, try connecting your XBOX with a direct cable and see if you still get those errors. Even if it's not a practical long term setup, it will help you determine if your WiFi connection is the problem.

  • Hmm... Well, you can't compare Destiny to any of those other games. They each have their own nuances. Destiny requires an absolutely constant connection between you and each of the other individuals in your match. It's peer-to-peer. There is very little server based interaction. Glad to hear that you are directly connected. However, if your router is a WiFi router as well, sometimes even other devises in the house can adversely affect your wired connections to the router. I had an issue a year ago when I added my girlfriend's iPhone to my WiFi router. Every time it came out of sleep mode to check for email/etc, it would do something weird that my router didn't like and it would reset... I know many people have reported that they solved many of their problems by either locking down their WiFi routers to use Mac address filtering and turning off their beacons to prevent unauthorized neighbors from interfering with their connections, updating the firmware on their routers, or upgrading their routers to more current versions. If you have a Windows based PC connected to the same network, you can try doing a pathping to www.bungie.net,and see if there is any packet loss...

  • Ahh... If all of your friends are having the same problem, it is probably an issue with your Internet services in that area. Try doing the pathping test. That should give you a good idea of where the problem exists.
