I don't understand why people get so butthurt over strange coins. Since 1 strange coin can buy 5 heavy ammo synth from Xur, a drop of 5-7 strange coins is still far more useful than a random legendary weapon with garbage perks that will just become 2 ascendant energies. Ascendant shards also aren't completely terrible because now we know we'll need a boatload of them when the next DLC comes out. To fully upgrade new legendary tower armor on 3 characters will require 216 shards.
Why do you people expect to get an exotic every week from Nightfalls? I haven't got one since October, but you won't hear me crying about it.

Cuz you can get 9 SC from the highest level weekly heroic. So 5 SC for the nightfall is kinda bs. I really wouldn't mind if I got SC from nightfall only if I got more than if I was doing lvl 30 weekly heroic

The weekly heroic gives you nothing else though, aside from a few blue engrams. Nightfall gives you a week's worth of huge XP boost. You're not being shorted by any means with less than 9 strange coins. Especially since the Nightfall tends to be easier than the heroic most weeks due to elemental burn.

Agreed. I had some bad nightfall drops two weeks ago. Later on in the week while running roc strikes I got a hawkmoon.
