They rally shouldn't give ascendant shards away as nightfalls any more they are bloody useless. I'm just accumulating tons of them. Energies I use on weapons but have raid gear so may never need them again !!

For people who played from start yes thy are. But take in account new people and people who may never see a raid in there life. That be like saying take away mats from green item break downs because all the blues i get keep my 1,000+ stack full. A way for the game to track this stuff would be better. You have 100 coins then no coins would be gotten as a reward. This would lessen the blow of getting stuff you don't need and getting to see more weapons/gear drop. Tho thy could be crap you have a chance to see more stuff that could be useful. I think this is how the CE raid loot is to work.

But you realistically need to be 30+ to do the nightfall now so you would have already levelled your gear anyway
